LA LOUISIANE

Great location. I like to walk, and I could get anywhere I wished. The simple amenities provided worked well for me. The bedding was good quality, and I could soak in the bath. I do not expect Paris to be quiet, but twice I had a room on the Rue de Buci, and it was noisy until 4 am. Get a room on the courtyard 'si possible'. It is easy to get great, fresh food within a short walk, and the Blvd. Saint Germain is just a half block. These places are converted rooming houses, so keep your expectations at bay, and you will enjoy while saving $$. I have stayed here many times, the most recent being July 2024.

I have difficulties to consider this as hotel, or I would rate it between 1 to 2 stars hotel. Location is really good, in a seemly safe area too. Room, floor and permise seems old, which is fair, but without a refresh, the carpet on the floor was old, consumed and dusty. Water in the shower was working at intermittent. Staff some seemed disinterested to the client, however owner seemed engaged and care more about the people. The price I had pay per night was far above (more than 200 euro per nigh) of what I would expect. If you go for tourism, consider that is a very basic equipped but near bars and restaurants where you could eat… no to be considered if traveling for business.

Location, location, location! It's not easy to find accommodations for a family of five, for a reasonable price, in Paris. Louisiane delivered -- though just barely! They gave us a room with one queen and two twin beds, and we had to do some creative bed-making to make this useable for parents with three young teens, but it worked. The room was eclectic, weirdly-shaped, and charming, just like the Latin Quarter itself; we loved the rooftop view, and the tiny bathroom with its soaker tub! Five-star resort? Definitely not. The place is old and budget, and you won't be overwhelmed with luxury amenities. But it's full of character and history, a building crammed with the stories of the lives lived inside it, and you can feel them. Every type of restaurant and attraction you could want is within an easy walk, the streets hopping with nightlife. Highly recommend if you want a taste of "real" Latin Quarter. Fantastic experience!

Many thanks to Xavier Blanchot and the whole team of this wonderful hotel. From this hotel, one can walk everywhere in Paris. It is so central and convenient. La Louisianne is unlike any other establishment. Atypical, its incredible location in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés for an unbeatable price-quality offer. Family and historical hotel. Literary and loving contemporary art. Huge international names have succeeded and still do today. So many musicians, writers, artists, cineasts who have left their DNA and their energy all around. The rooms are very pleasant and isolated from street life. I recommend without any limit. In gratitude, Sophie Marie

The Hotel does not inform you prior to arrival that check in is only at 17h not at 13h as mentioned on their facebook page. They do not provide consigne so if you arrive early from a foreign country you will have no where to store your luggage until check in time at 17h. The passages to the rooms are not clean and cursory cleaning is done of your room when you are staying there. The worst is if you have booked a quiet room on the courtyard when you arrive you will be told in no uncertain manner that you don't have a room on the courtyard but on the street and that they are under no obligation to give you what you want. The nightclub noise on Saturday night resonates throughout the hotel as does the noise of all its revellers. No excuse given.

super endroit ! parisien ou touriste c’est the place to be ! incroyable endroit, propre, mais chargé d’histoire ! à faire absolument ! personnel super gentil, chargé d’histoire, un lit king size de dingue du double vitrage au top et la salle de bain toute moderne! on adore et on recommande !
