Tiger's Nest Resort

I had been nervous about this hotel after reading earlier reviews, but I am pleased to report that this place is absolutely excellent. They really try to help at every opportunity. The thing I had been most nervous about was the reports of cold (I really don’t like being cold) but the rooms were toasty warm. There was a heater, plus an electric blanket - both of which were switched on - and the bathroom was warm as well. The food was absolutely great, the location ditto and the building itself full of character.

Nice place to stayin Paro opposite to The Holy Tigers Nest monastery Good location staff are nice It’s good for visiting Tigers Nest, it’s on the way from main Paro city and airport. Very good views from room which I stayed. Overall nice experience. Felt happy for everything.

The hotel is rustic but almost in a state of disrepair with inadequate heating facilities and we all had an unpleasant stay during our time here at the resort. Due to members of my entourage getting sick upon arrival and hospitalisation plus a host of other issues, food and water etc we decided to cancel after our first night stay because the energy was simply not good and was charged with a 45% cancellation fee without being sympathetic toward our plights. Emailed the experience to Bhutan tourism board. There are other nicer hotels than this one 100%

I had a lovely stay at Tiger's Nest Resort! I enjoyed the incredible views of Tiger's Nest Monastery, the traditional hot stone bath on the property, heated beds, and helpful staff who arranged transportation for me. Perfect location if you plan to hike up to the monastery!

Great place to stay. It has a beautiful view with polite and friendly staff. Loved everything about the place.

Stepping inside the reception area you could be stepping inside a Buddest Temple as you are surrounded by well worn wooden floors with the deep glow from many feet. There are spectacular views across the valley to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched high up the opposite mountain side. The room we had was perfectly acceptable with all the amenities one could ask for, also the staff were all polite and friendly Food though was a disappointment, I found it very bland and uninteresting and before you say Bhutanese food is that way, I can assure you it’s not. Some food, at our various lunch stops, was exemplary, some very hot and spicy but all full of flavour. I’m sure Tigers Nest could improve theirs, perhaps it was tamed down to suit what they thought was western tastes, our group of 23 were just about the only people there.
