What a perfect introduction to the New Zealand country side. Kauri Villa was the first stay after leaving Auckland. Driving up the road to the house, we were blown away with the views. Andrea, our host greeted us and already we knew we should have booked more nights.She showed us to the Camelia Cottage which had a large stocked kitchen with everything you could need, a living room, and bedroom all beautifully decorated. It truly is a charming cottage.The bathrobes were especially soft and cozy. There was an outside barbeque, a barn complete with all kinds of games, a basketball hoop, and a bush walk on the property. The property is gorgeous! We did the short 1k walk on the property, past the sheep. There is also a pool and hot tub but we did not get the chance to try them as we were taking advantage of all the special places that Andrea suggested we explore.

A beautiful little gem sat up high above Parua Bay. Lovely, welcoming hosts, great walk in their private woodland and a real treat to have use of a swimming pool and hot tub on a perfectly formed terrace area with amazing views. Camelia Cottage was absolutely perfect - clean, modern and light. A short drive to Parua Tavern which offered good quality and value food. Would highly recommend this lovely place to stay if you're looking in this area.

An awesome place with awesome amenities fantastic for a family get together hosts were helpful and friendly will definitely go back A+A+A+ the games room had a pool table Fooseball numerous board games plus a long dining table and bar set up

Lovely surroundings with beautiful gardens and walks. A heated pool. Our cottage was lovely with a full kitchen and a separate bedroom. Our hosts we really friendly and showed us all the facilities. We were just in time to see the sunset which was glorious. Would love to stay again.

Outstandingly beautiful location and the most wonderful host. Everything you could possibly need and more. The little touches like fresh flowers, pool towels and a fully equipped kitchen make this place so easy to feel at home with. To top it all Andrea is so friendly and helpful. I’d give it 6 stars if I could!

This would be one of the best bed and breakfast places I have stayed at. We were greeted on arrival by Mike and Andrea, escorted around and taken to our rooms. Our accommodation was clean and tidy and my bed was superbly comfortable. Our breakfast, cooked by Mike was excellent, the range was extensive, beautifully presented and delicious. Mike and Andrea were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had all we needed. We would highly recommend this place and were sorry we only had one night here, we would have loved to have stayed longer.

Absolutely one of our best nights away. The setup in the Kohinui Cottage was great. Lovely presentation and decor. Very private and very comfortable beds. Location is beautiful. We wanted to visit the local Parua Bay tavern and weren't disappointed. Andrea, our host couldn't have been more welcoming. Great place to chill. Many thanks. Ben and Jan.

We had the loveliest 3 nights at Kauri Villas. Mike & Andrea made us so welcome. The setting is beautiful.. we had the Magnolia suite which just made our stay so special. The rooms were beautifully presented . We had dinner at the Tavern joining in the weekly quiz night. Thanks for asking us Mike. We had never explored the Whangarei Heads and we spent a magic day seeing a part of NZ that we didn't know. We can highly recommend the villas. The breakfast were a delight. Spectacular location, very good amenities including pool, spa, games room with pool table and table tennis, lots of bird life, comfortable bed, superb hosts ( Andrea and Michael ) Breakfast cost extra but well worth it.
