AC Hotel Pasadena

Modern, minimalist: The design and execution are spot on. Location is walkable and excellent. Guest-facing staff is great (check in/restaurant). Housekeeping needs to be trained that a DND sign combined with an extended late check-out means do not knock on the door at 11:05am to see if we are still there. Maybe that is a failure of the front desk to communicate with them. Also, trash cans full at the valet should also be housekeeping domain BUT the "job description" and pride of any employee in the area. Speaking of the Do Not Disturb signs, its 2025, can we stop killing forests to print these things and instead have a button we can push from within the room that shows up outside the door like most of the rest of the world? The room is clean and well appointed but I concur with another reviewer that they need to fix A/C vent noises which sounded like a small jet engine. I do like the multiple night-lights throughout the room. They still have not completed the roof top patio but it does look imminent and inviting. I also agree with this concern from another reviewer: "Although the main hotel entrance is from the alley off Madison Ave, you can also enter from Colorado Blvd. These doors are unlocked, unattended and lead straight to the guest elevators which do not require a key to operate. I see this as a security problem waiting to happen." Lastly, if you don't want to go for the $40/day valet (with in & out privileges), they park their cars in the adjacent public lot which is $20/day (no in/out). 3-stars: Average with room to and I believe will improve with some top-down management effort.

Disgusting hotel, so dirty. I knew it was not a great hotel when I booked the night, but it was beneath even those expectations. The management clearly does not care to staff sufficient employees to care for the hotel. Do not stay here if at all possible.

I had a wonderful stay at the AC Hotel in Pasadena. Ernesto and his team were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The rooms were nice and comfortable, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. I’m excited to recommend this hotel to friends and family—and I can’t wait to return!

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Ernesto & his team were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. From check-in to check-out, their hospitality stood out. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had everything you needed for a great stay. Service overall was top-notch, and I truly felt like a valued guest. I’m already looking forward to my next visit—happy to return and highly recommend this hotel to others!
