Strandloper Ocean Boutique Hotel

Our welcome was one of the best of any hotels. Very friendly, with immediate glasses of sparkling wine and a hand towel. Despite being late for lunch they arranged for us to eat in the restaurant The food was good but not amazing. The service excellent and the front desk was so helpful. Breakfasts were fabulous. The vibe throughout the hotel was fantastic, and nothing is too much trouble. What was most special were the views, with the ability to walk down the beach either way and amazing views to the beach. If you want to walk down to the main town there are some excellent restaurants. We had lunch at a small cafe and had delicious fish and prawns. The turn down service is great, with hand made chocolates left in the room. Lovely bath and shower and a great terrace, although the sun wasn’t on ours much. It’s important to point out that this isn’t a 5 star hotel, and the sheets/ duvets/ sun loungers, state of the pool (needs repainting and cleaning more often) reminds you of that. But the position and the service makes up for that. I would recommend some improvements to make it a must go destination, but we plan to go back.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. We had an ocean suite, which I can truly say was one of the best rooms we have ever had on our travels. So well designed with three distinct sections for sleeping, bathing and relaxing. Every detail had been carefully considered. There were two outside deck areas too and direct access to the beach. There were even a set of binoculars provided to watch the local wildlife. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We were greeted with a smile and a glass of bubbly before being shown our room. We had dinner in the restaurant with some friends in the evening and the food and wine were excellent. The breakfasts were really good. No buffet. Everything was to order and was perfect. If we come back to Paternoster, we will definitely return to this hotel. Can certainly recommend.

This place truly is next level! Right at the beach. You can walk to the refreshing (in fact pretty cold :-) ocean from the restaurant or your room. The rooms are beautifully designed with top level features. The food is outstanding and not too expensive by European standards. Everything has been thought through such as a wooden floor at the pool. A stone floor would have become too hot for bare feet. Accommodation is not cheap but well worth it!

This is a lovely property in a lovely location, which is always a good start. However, what sets it apart is the attention to detail throughout - from the food to the style of the furnishings to the quality of everything used. I can’t recommend this place enough, & this is what sets great hotels apart from good ones. This was our second visit. It will not be our last

Everything was just perfect, staff, room, directly at the ocean and terrific food in the Restaurant! Especially Nicola from the Service is so nice and so friendly, like Nossie at the Front Desk is amazing and they doing e great and wonderful job! Thank you very much and we are certainly coming back! From the moment we arrived at the Strandloper Hotel to the moment we left we felt happy, relaxed and very well looked after! Nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful, friendly staff;we were genuinely sad when our time came to check out. From the beautiful food in the magnificent Leeto restaurant to the amazing turn-down service, where housekeeping light the wood burner in your room and pop a hot water bottle on each side of the bed to make for a toasty and cosy night’s sleep. We have stayed in many amazing hotels in our time, but this one is absolutely up there as one of our all-time favourites. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much to Nossie, Sibu and the team 🙏🏽
