Gonana Guesthouse

Our stay at Gonana Collection Villas was nothing short of exceptional. The accommodation was stunning—beautifully styled with a refined yet relaxed coastal charm. Every space felt thoughtfully designed, immaculately clean, and wonderfully spacious, offering both comfort and luxury. We felt completely at ease throughout our stay, with the peaceful surroundings and secure setting adding to the overall sense of tranquility. Gonana is the perfect blend of sophistication and serenity, and we left feeling refreshed and inspired. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a truly special experience in Paternoster!

Our stay waa fantastic...rooms waa clean and decor was on point. Awesome location. We will visit again at this beautifull house. Lovely kitchen layout and living area. Maybe just had a braai dish because we had a braai and could not find one in the kitchen . But we really enjoyed our weekend...Thank you.

We stayed the night of 5th March and received a very warm welcome. Our bedroom was clean, bed comfortable and adequate facilities. However would have preferred towelling towels rather than cotton ones provided. Our breakfast was not a very pleasant experience. We were asked when we would like to have breakfast and said 8.00am. However when we went upstairs there was nobody there and nothing had been set up for breakfast. The staff arrived shortly after and started setting the tables and putting out the food, there seemed to be some tension amongst the staff as they were all very surly. We eventually had our breakfast at 8.30 amidst the chaos, we had staff stretching over us putting condiments etc on the table. What could have been relaxing enjoying the views was most unpleast and left us leaving with a bad taste.

This was my second visit to Gonana Guesthouse, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. I will definitely be coming back! Paternoster, and especially this guest house, has become one of my favorite places to unwind and slow down. Whether it’s horseback riding on the beach, taking a guided tour to learn more about the unique local fauna, or spotting seals and even whales – there’s always something special to experience here. If you get the chance, don’t hesitate to go! And if it’s available, ask for Room 3 – it has a beautiful sea view and its own little private patio. Highly recommended – five stars all the way!

We made a weekend trip to Paternoster and stayed here. We were upgraded to a room with direct beach access. There was a warm welcome and the staff was outstanding throughout our short stay. The decor of the house is well fitted to the beach setting and our room was spotless. A very comfortable bed gave a good night‘s rest. There was an excellent breakfast in the morning with a view of the surf. We would definitely come back.

Gonana Guest house is the best place to stay in Paternoster. Service, rooms, breakfastand location is toptop.
