We went for my daughters wedding and we got to the room and no soap, shampoo etc. The toilet was broken and it was freezing as they hadn't put the heaters on when they said they would. The wedding itself was a lovely venue bit what let it down was the man on the bar. He drunk all night himself, overcharged for drinks which made everyone leave. He also changed for double and watered everything down. Was so very disappointed when you pay music and everyone has left.

Terrible food, overpriced, dodgy charging of alcohol. Second time, second event I’ve attended here, and I wouldn’t recommend to anyone. The three salad options could barely be described as salad (spinach/onion was one, caesar that had little more than cos lettuce and cheap couscous). Only thing going for it is the beautiful surrounds.

I stayed at The Lodge last night and absolutely loved it! My job has me traveling a lot (I stopped counting after 70 countries) and I generally despise hotels as culture-less soul-sucking prisons, but The Lodge is different. I felt completely at home the moment I arrived at The Lodge. I met the owners who were lovely, and became friends with the staff. I was there for a birthday celebration but just fell in love with the place and decided to stay the night. So glad I did. Highly recommended!!!!!
