My husband and I stayed here while visiting family nearby. The price for two nights was completely outrageous for what we got. It was a comparable rate to nearby hotels with the Salem events but the hotel itself is not on par with those locations. The rooms are very dated and breakfast was an additional charge. Our room was on the first level which is located off some creepy red ramp. Children were running up and down our hallway both nights we were there. Our room also had a glass door leading outside that had an interior latch but no additional security chain. I would not have stayed the night in the room if my husband had not been with me. Our room was not clean despite being 'ready' according to the front desk. Fortunately, the sheets and towels were clean. But the trash cans were still full and the fridge had not been emptied. The surfaces had obviously not been wiped down even though we found a cleaning rag on the desk. I carry sanitizing wipes when we travel so I just cleaned the surfaces myself. I also saw what appeared to be a blood stain on the shower curtain. As my husband and I were napping, following an early morning flight, the front desk called our room because the previous guest left something behind (aside from the trash). We then had to get up, find the item, and wait for the staff member to come collect it before lying back down. This was our only interaction with staff during our stay as we did mobile check-in.

This hotel, Jessica P. the assistant rooms op manager specifically, went above and beyond for us. Upon arrival, my reservation (through Chase travel) could not be found. After sitting on hold with Chase for over 30 mins of wait time, Jessica went ahead and gave us an upgraded room at a lower price than Chase travel had offered. She was professional, kind and understanding. She also offered us some suggestions on nearby places to visit. The hotel was clean, staff was accommodating and friendly, parking was free, as well as food and drinks were not ridiculously overpriced. I feel like we made the right choice with the abundant amount of options available in the area. If we visit again, this will be the hotel of our choice, no question about it.

My husband and I booked a suite at the Boston Peabody Marriott for our wedding day, specifically for him to take his getting-ready photos. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room broke, resulting in an unbearable temperature of around 90 degrees. This forced him to take all his pictures in the hotel lobby instead, which was far from ideal given the occasion. Despite contacting the front desk, the issue was only fixed several hours later, by which point it was too late to salvage our plans. To make matters worse, when I reached out to the hotel's customer service, I was met with conflicting responses. One representative claimed there was no record of an HVAC issue or repair, essentially implying that I was lying to get a refund. Another representative then stated that there was indeed a record and that the issue had been fixed promptly. This inconsistency in their responses was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. Given the significant strain this put on our wedding day and the lack of any offer for a refund, partial refund, or even points, I would never recommend anyone stay here. The customer service was absolutely horrible and completely unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. That said, I do want to acknowledge that their events staff was fantastic and we enjoyed working with all of them. It's just a shame that the overall experience was marred by such poor customer service.

This hotel is our preferred choice whenever we are in the area, and we highly recommend it to Bonvoy members. Certain moments, combined with dedicated people on the other side, remind one that brand loyalty matters. During our recent stay, Patrick worked out our arrival needs with George, who commands simply exceptional professionalism and reliability, even while off duty. Danielle handled our check-in smoothly. All around, a big thanks! Throughout our various past visits, we have had the pleasure of being acquainted with exceptional staff, including Concierge Michelle and Mariella, Sophia’s Wanda and Dee, and the capable Jaydn, who used to welcome us and is still with Marriott. And of course, George has always been an excellent representation of the brand. They all embody Marriott’s commitment to outstanding service and hospitality, making our stays truly enjoyable and reinforcing the brand’s value From interacting with other guests, we know others who agree that people and service make this place an enjoyable stay.

Disappointing! Concierge floor guest room was dated as was most of the hotel and in dire need of an update. Stayed 3 nights and concierge room was closed the entire time. Difficult to even get water at the front desk. Toiletries were less than basic. Requested room cleaning and didn’t happen so never enough towels, soap, etc. Very popular location for weddings, so doesn’t seem like they care that much about service.

Overall, a very disappointing stay for premium cost!! We have stayed here 10plus times because it is the closest hotel to our family who live in the area, but we would gladly stay elsewhere. The quality does not match the price - they definitely take advantage of being the only full-service hotel in the area. And we have watched this hotel age poorly over the past several years. The walls are marked, the AC is very noisy (poor sleep), the sheets have holes/splits, and the carpet is lumpy and not clean, etc. Despite our earned, very high status with Marriott, we were assigned a low floor even though we requested a high floor pre-arrival, and the property was not full. When we asked for a higher floor, preferably concierge level (which we qualified and paid for), we were told that we were “staying too many days to be assigned to the Concierge floor.” What? We paid a premium price for that level! The staff person who checked us in acted as if it was a bother to assist us - NO information offered, NO greeting. We had to ask questions just to get basic info about the restaurant and lounge. Rudest person that we have encountered working the front desk at a Marriott property. The room was not properly cleaned, and we had to ask over and over and over to get sufficient towels. Despite repeated requests each morning to leave extra towels each day, this never happened. We had to call down each evening to get towels, We had ONE bath towel in the room when we arrived back to the hotel one evening - unbelievable for two people!! Bath towels were tossed on the back of the commode after cleaning the room (not hung); garbage was not consistently emptied; and linens were not changed unless requested. Dirty dishes sat outside rooms for days in the hallways. And there were two bags of take-out trash that sat in the hallway for 4 days and were still there when we left - nothing like smelling garbage in the hallway for days, especially old food containers. The indoor pool area was not clean, and the pool was really cold! Minimal pool towels were provided; none were available when we went to the pool one day. During our stay, a decision was made to close the Concierge Lounge for 5 days due to “low occupancy.” No warning and no refund offered. The ONLY positive aspect of this property are the very nice staff in the Concie Lounge and Sophia’s restaurant. They are exceptional, and most are long-term employees who remember their frequent guests. Thank you for the one bright spot in this dreary setting!! It is difficult to believe this is a regular Marriott hotel - they have been talking about a renovation forever…maybe it will happen. But until then, they obviously survive because there are no other options for gatherings, events, and meetings in the area. It is sad! We have spent thousands of dollars at this property and NEVER received a single response to any evaluation, comment, or request for a response. What does that

Perfect, almost! Good hotel, easy access to it, and great service. Housekeeping is exceptional. WiFi works really well. And Jaden has the best smile and attitude ever. If I ever opened a hotel, I would want her working there. The hotel is getting a little old and there’s some issues with the toilets but maintenance was there almost immediately. I’ll be back!

Hotel is nice but for the money we paid for one night which was around $400 the room smelled like smoke, not a lot of storage if your staying for a week or few days. The bathroom shower was very outdated and not very clean at all not to mention had NO towels to shower but they did bring them up while I was in shower. Just not happy we stayed at the Residence in Nashua the weekend before for the whole weekend paid close to $500 and had a gorgeous suite with own kitchen etc. Won’t go back to Peabody Marriott again and wish I could get some money back for the horrible stay.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Staff was sooo nice. Beautiful hotel. Pool was super nice. Beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Restaurant inside is nice but kind of expensive. We were visiting Salem and the location was easy to find and Uber to and from Salem. Would definitely stay again!!
