Mt Quincan Crater Retreat

We recently spent 2 nights at Mt Quincan retreat. The views are breath taking in the treehouses overlooking the Tablelands, be sure to specify when booking as the treehouses overlooking the crater do not offer these views. The swing trail is a must and also provides an amazing view. The treehouse itself, whilst lovely, needs some maintenance. The kitchen tap was loose and one side of our barbecue wouldn't light, but luckily we could make do. There is also a strong ammonia smell coming from the wood panels in the bottom of the shower that could be attended to. Unfotunately, the hospitality leaves a bit to be desired. I was quite disappointed to hear that my partner was charged an additional $60 fee to have flowers and rose petals, that were delivered by a florist to the office at the property, placed in our treehouse. I understand that arranging rose petals on the bed is an additional task, however, $60 for such a small ask is unreasonable and off putting. When paying $485+ a night for luxury accommodation, a little hospitality wouldn't go astray.

This is the second time we have stayed at Mt Quincan in 2024 and once again exceeded our expectations. We were so comfortable there right from the moment we arrived. The special touches including the delicious baked goods and fresh produce in the fridge, not to mention the complimentary Port and chocolates found in the room were so lovely. The bed is super comfy, the bath is also so relaxing at night. Make sure you use the fire while you're there too. We loved using the kitchen to cook our meals and sat on the balcony each morning and night. We used the outdoor shower this time and wow, that was an amazing experience, I highly recommend taking advantage of this! Thanks again for a truly outstanding stay, we will be back.

My husband and I decided at last minute to go on a road trip. Whilst planning we came across Mt Quincan Crater Retreat. We had such a wonderful 2 nights. I ordered an additional package (which I can't remember the name of..), Bubbles & ?? My husband always thinking of his stomach, but with the breakfast basket we had more than enough to eat. All delicious. The wildlife noises we awesome. If you are looking for serenity and getting away from it all, this 2 night stay ticketed all our boxes.

The "treehouse" was very spacious given that it was a half-octagon shape. The windows gave close to a 180 degree view which felt like we were truly amongst nature. Our balcony view was partially obstructed but still a peaceful outdoor retreat with a cup of coffee in the morning. The breakfast basket had eggs, breads, and meats that you prepare yourself in the comfort of your own kitchen. I had a hard time with the electric stove (I'm used to a gas stove) but the BBQ on the balcony solved this dilemma. And the spa tub... Oh wow... the huge spa tub... heavenly. The bed was very comfortable and the evenings were peaceful with just the sounds of nature. You will need a car here. There isn't much to do except enjoy your retreat room, and the only hiking trail open on the inside crater path was not enjoyable and not a reason to stay here. But The Retreat is a short drive to so many sites including waterfalls, Atherton, hot air ballooning, Lakes, hiking trials, and cute towns.

Our stay was a true delight, attention to detail, from the scones and fresh bread on arrival and our breakfast provisions. The treehouse was divine, the spinning fireplace my partner adored, the socks set the scene. Watching the shadow of the volcano move across the land at sunset, the night visitors. All I know is I'm coming back, having been told how much my partner loved it, our trip's highlight. What choice do I have?

We stayed in the rose tamarind tree house and it was sensational . The tree house is stunning with beautiful views , cosy bay window , fireplace and beautiful view from The spa bath . Also lots of amazing little touches like a welcome basket with pumpkins scones and complimentary port was delish on the cold nights . Well set out and lots of lovely wildlife to be seen from The deck ! The crater walk was awesome and the views were stunning !! Can’t wait to go back !! 10/10 recommend !!
