Mt Quincan Crater Retreat

Never has being up close and personal to a volcano been so serene. Our stay at Mt Quincan was nothing short of luxurious. From the polished floors to the outdoor shower (there is one indoors too) and the two person spa bath, waking up to the sunrise and the dawn chorus, the experience was completely fantastic. The catering was excellent, we recommend the seafood platter. Locally sourced products were a delightful surprise and delicious. Worth every penny, I'll definitely be back and thoroughly recommend a stay here, you'll leave more refreshed than when you arrived, guaranteed.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Cannot fault this property. Absolutely will return. 2 nights amongst nature to recharge the batteries perfectly.

Sadly, really poor customer service and we had to chase up the manager for items that were meant to be included in the room. We are locals, and have stayed here previously and it was excellent, however this time was really disappointing and not what was advertised on the website. The manager said it was because they had renovated some of the rooms and they hadn’t gotten to replacing items as yet, like toiletries and kitchen basics… For the cost of the room, and a minimum 2 night stay, it was not up to the standard they claim to deliver. We won’t be back or recommending to friends and family again.

We recently spent 2 nights at Mt Quincan retreat. The views are breath taking in the treehouses overlooking the Tablelands, be sure to specify when booking as the treehouses overlooking the crater do not offer these views. The swing trail is a must and also provides an amazing view. The treehouse itself, whilst lovely, needs some maintenance. The kitchen tap was loose and one side of our barbecue wouldn't light, but luckily we could make do. There is also a strong ammonia smell coming from the wood panels in the bottom of the shower that could be attended to. Unfotunately, the hospitality leaves a bit to be desired. I was quite disappointed to hear that my partner was charged an additional $60 fee to have flowers and rose petals, that were delivered by a florist to the office at the property, placed in our treehouse. I understand that arranging rose petals on the bed is an additional task, however, $60 for such a small ask is unreasonable and off putting. When paying $485+ a night for luxury accommodation, a little hospitality wouldn't go astray.

This is the second time we have stayed at Mt Quincan in 2024 and once again exceeded our expectations. We were so comfortable there right from the moment we arrived. The special touches including the delicious baked goods and fresh produce in the fridge, not to mention the complimentary Port and chocolates found in the room were so lovely. The bed is super comfy, the bath is also so relaxing at night. Make sure you use the fire while you're there too. We loved using the kitchen to cook our meals and sat on the balcony each morning and night. We used the outdoor shower this time and wow, that was an amazing experience, I highly recommend taking advantage of this! Thanks again for a truly outstanding stay, we will be back.
