Mar Hotels Paguera & Spa

We have just stayed for 6 nights in this hotel. Room was really nice cleaned every day and very spacious for 3 of us. Nice touch that there was 3 bottles of water in the fridge upon arrival. Plenty of choice in the restaurant at breakfast lunch and dinner . Some choices better than others on certain days but always something we could eat. Microwave available if need anything warming up. Good selection of white rose and red wine . Only criticism of meal times never noticed anything like pizza/chicken nuggets etc for younger kids. Entertainment bit hit and miss. We only discovered the room where they do entertainment on the second night . We kept getting told it was underneath the restaurant but couldn't find how to access it then discovered set of stairs going down to it from inside restaurant to right as you go in . Outdoor pool was freezing but that expected due to time of year. Indoor pool lovely and warm. Very close to main street only short walk away. So in an ideal location. Very quiet area but near enough to main resort so best of both worlds

I stayed for one week with my little son and we had the best holiday ever. The beds are comfy, rooms are cleaned to a high standard, abundance of food choices, food is always fresh and varied. Swimming pool and hot tub areas are well maintained. Lovely Beatriz from Spa does heavenly massages and is a beautiful person. A small gym compliments the facilities. A small team of animators, Claudia, Alex and Hector made my son’s holiday unforgettable. They run the kids activities with a lot of enthusiasm and passion, we cannot wait to come back!

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel overall. The location is excellent, very convenient and close to key attractions. The service was outstanding – staff were friendly, helpful, and professional throughout. The rooms were comfortable and clean, making it a relaxing place to return to after a day out. The one area that could use improvement is the food. While it wasn’t bad, it also wasn’t the best – and more importantly, there was a noticeable lack of reasonable options for vegetarians or vegans. A bit more variety in this regard would make a big difference for guests with dietary restrictions. All in all, a good stay with great service, but I hope to see some improvements to the menu in the future.

A great hotel with really kind staff and amazing facilities. I recommend an amazing massage from Beatriz who gave me the best massage experience ever at the spa. Everything felt clean and room cleaning was good. Overall a good holiday away from home.

Spent a week here with friends and we had a wonderful experience. First time all inclusive and it didn't disappoint. Food was excellent, great choice especially at breakfast where fresh omelettes and pancakes were available from show cooking area. Buffet lunch and buffet dinner also plentiful, varied and flavoursome. Snacks available all day over and above the 3 daily buffet meals. Bar was well stocked and a variety of cocktails available as well as local spirits and non alcoholic beverages. Queues were never longer than 4 people. Entertainment downstairs at night commenced with children's disco provided by the hard working Carolyn and Alex, then adult bingo, karaoke, singers, dancers etc All brilliant. I recently stayed at this hotel with friends and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The facilities were terrible. The bars were not open when they were supposed to be, and one day we had to wait up to 2 hours past the scheduled opening time. The so-called ‘snack bar’ was a joke – just a bowl of crisps (which everyone put their dirty hands into), some biscuits, and old fruit in a fridge. The drinks were limited, and the machines were dirty. The lifeguard was working behind the bar when an elderly lady began to drown in the pool. Other guests had to intervene to save her, which was incredibly alarming. The room bedding was never changed during our stay, and the bath had hair in it when we arrived, which remained there until we left. In the apartment, the extra bed was just a piece of hard foam. The entertainment was basic at best, and the pool was filthy with green algae and scum around both pools. Despite making complaints to both the hotel and the agent, no improvements were made until the day we left. The only positive aspects were the good location and the fairly polite and friendly staff, although they were not proactive in addressing issues.
