Valentin Reina Paguera - Adults Only

We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant time, though there are some aspects future guests may want to be aware of. First, credit where it’s due: the hotel is kept spotlessly clean and tidy. Housekeeping and cleaning staff do an excellent job, and this deserves recognition, especially given that many rooms are quite dated by modern standards. Our bathroom, for instance, had cracked tiles and a chipped bath that had clearly been painted over. Communal areas also show signs of age – most noticeably the carpet on the stairs from the 1st floor, which is ripped and has clearly been that way for some time. The food was a real mixed bag. While there’s a wide and fresh selection of salads and fruit, and we really enjoyed the generous and lively White Day lunch party, the rest of the dining experience was hit and miss. We found the food at dinner to be heavily oversalted, to the point where it was hard to enjoy. The “show cooking” setup was frustrating – there was rarely enough meat ready for the number of guests, and the process felt disorganised. More oddly, there seemed to be inconsistent and seemingly arbitrary rules enforced by certain staff and these rules I felt maybe seemed to affect female guests more. A bizarre example: the mixed fruit next to the breakfast porridge apparently couldn’t be used on the porridge because it was “for smoothies only”. This kind of micromanagement felt unnecessary and honestly a little ridiculous. I did what anyone would do and poured a berry smoothie on my porridge instead – problem solved! Clientele during our stay were mainly German and 65+, and while the entertainment provided by the hotel didn’t really suit us, the surrounding area has lots of lively bars, so we ended up going out every evening after dinner. The pool area is another area where some decisions seem to favour form over function. Three large luxury sunbeds have been installed in prime poolside spots and are rented out at €50 a day. In our two-week stay, we only saw one of them booked twice – a total of €100 earned in 14 days, while everyday guests are crammed into increasingly shaded areas with sunbeds so close together you have to jump in from the end. It just doesn’t seem like a guest-friendly trade-off. Lastly, the drinks ordering system at dinner was confusing and poorly explained - or rather to be less kind not explained at all! On our first night, we weren’t offered a drinks menu and were simply asked if we wanted something. When we declined, the (presumed) restaurant manager (older chap) seemed visibly annoyed, which didn’t set a great tone. After that, we chose to have drinks before and after dinner elsewhere. All that said, there are genuine positives, especially the efforts of the housekeeping team and the quality of fresh produce at meal times. With some refurbishment, clearer communication, and more thoughtful guest-focused decisions, this hotel has the potential to be much more than what we experienced.

We had a wonderful 10 days at this very unpretentious hotel. The staff were brilliant, food was great and everywhere was very clean. The buffet dinner was consistently good with a wide choice and excellent themes. The restaurant staff were attentive and very friendly. Bar prices were UK pub prices and the pool bar served lunchtime meals that were always well cooked and priced. We upgraded to a suite when we booked and it was worth every penny, great bathroom, comfortable beds and slippers and dressing gowns included. The entertainment was high quality acts that included singers, magicians and acrobatic dancers. Overall a really enjoyable holiday

Just returned from a wonderful 11 night stay at Valentin Reina Paguera and everything was just fantastic. Firstly the entire staff are superb throughout and Hotel expertly run by Hotel Director Juan Mullet ...many of the staff have been here for years which is always a good sign. From check in to check out it was a seamless experience and would say the reception team are probably the most professional and helpful I have had in any Hotel. All of the team are so friendly and I think perhaps the senior members Miguel Angel and Anita ensure the level of service is second to non. Hotel is immaculate throughout and the standards are so high everywhere which brings me to the extremely comfortable bedrooms and fabulous beds. There are choices of bedrooms and all are very well appointed ...there is standard room sea view rooms and superior sea view rooms. I had the superior sea view room and it was simply perfect. The Hotel caters for all nationalities and this is reflected in the vast array of food choices both breakfast and dinner....everything was delicious . Show cooking omelettes at breakfast and steaks fish etc at dinner beautifully cooked by the ever smiling show cooking chef...he is a real asset to the Hotel. Location 2 minutes from the boulevard with countless shops bars cafes and much more. Buses to Palma are two minutes away from the Hotel and one goes to Palma direct and other to nearby Santa Ponsa so you wish to explore the island. All in all a really wonderful holiday experience and have booked again for June this year.

Having read all the previous reviews on here before choosing to book they are all pretty accurate. My daughter and I visited in July we found this hotel to be extremely clean, with friendly staff, good maid service, lovely buffet breakfast and evening meals. It was a little dated in some areas but was part of its character! It is located within a 5 minute walk to the beach with plenty of gift shops and supermarkets close by. During the day there was aerobics, darts, dance classes as well as a Foam party with free mojitos which was great fun! In the evening we enjoyed the acrobatics and singing entertainment. I celebrated my birthday whilst we were away and was treated to a bottle of fizz left in our room and birthday cake and more fizz at our evening meal, thank you! At breakfast you can sit anywhere in the restaurant at the evening meal you are given a set table. The only downside to this is the tables set for 2 people are extremely close together you felt like you were dining with your neighbouring table. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.

Absolutely LOVED everything about Valentin Reina Paguera and the wonderful team looking after us ❤️ We had the most relaxing yet friendly and entertaining stay here. Every single person we met representing the hotel was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. From the team on Reception, in the Restaurant, at the Bars (both indoors and poolside), the Entertainment and Hospitality team, Housekeeping, right down to the Poolside/Grounds team, we were always greeted with kindness and made to feel very welcome and well looked after. Can only offer the highest praise for everyone making this hotel so wonderful. We will definitely be returning both together and also with additional family/friends in future. We can see why visitors rate Valentin Reina Paguera so highly and return again and again. As has been said before by others, the hotel is beautiful, immaculate and always spotless. The food and drink offerings very good quality and plentiful. And our room, even though we booked a standard room, was really lovely. We were impressed 110% with everything during our stay here and made sure to pass on our thanks before we left for home. We cannot wait to return hopefully sooner rather than later. On arrival at 10.30pm was greeted by a lovely lady very professional and helpful there is a little food if needed Room was spotless great location shops restaurants nearby entertainment was great Food was good too great place to relax Only down side is balcony lights automatically go out around 10 at night
