The Coach House Hotel

This is the second time we've stayed here and, just like the last time, it didn't disappoint. Superb, clean, fully stocked comfortable room. Parking at the rear of the hotel included. Great breakfast and a friendly team working there. Close to the town centre and the castle. A short walk to the railway station - we went to Tenby for a few hours. To be honest, I'm struggling to think of anything negative about the place, especially for the price (£109 BnB).

We stayed here three nights during our hike of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The rooms were spacious and there was a nice lounge upstairs that several of our group used for morning yoga. The restaurant downstairs was quite good, too. I had a very nice spicy lime prawn salad for dinner one night. Breakfast was very good, too, with continental buffet and hot food options. It's in a good location, too, right across from a Coop store.

An OK place to stay for a 'B&B' but would probably look elsewhere for next trip. Breakfast cooked to order and options ok; only had fresh fruit available on one morning. Had dinner there one night and it was quite good (salmon, on 'specials' list) but at 6:45 they told us they were done serving for the evening so no desert available and no ice for drinks because they'd already cleaned up for the night. Good parking. bed comfortable and good shower. Our room faced the street; would recommend getting one at the rear of the building if possible. Annoying hair dryer that requires holding the button in while using it, with a short cord an weak flow. Room had one chair but no lamp near it (or power point for one). Had good dresser space and closet space. Kettle doesn't actually fit under the sink (so filled by using the cups to transfer water from spout to kettle). Thin walls - could hear the neighbors as well as some street noise til midnight or so. And annoying 'emergency light' over the door, which brighter than desired in the dark of the night.

The food here is always good, but this particular time the service was particularly lacking. We felt like a bit of a nuisance on arrival ,rather than being directed to a table, told to wait a minute (the place was fairly empty) No chicken available, no steak knife, no cutlery, no sauces offered, drinks slow. Scruffy attendants. Just a bit disappointing.

Lovely quiet hotel with pub. On the street but silent. Lovely staff. Breakfast was a little thrown together but acceptable. Thatchers on Tap always helps. Great to have its own carpark which is a plus. Just a short stay hence the short review.

Stayed for one night as a stop off on the way to Western Wales as part of our two week holiday in July 2023. A great value place, £110 for a Sunday night BnB. The room was excellent, small but had everything needed including a really great shower. Had a meal there at night as well, which was stunning and great value. Apparently they're quiet on a Sunday, so we didn't need to book a table, suggesting other times it might be an idea to book ahead. Pembroke itself looks a little run down in areas, but there's a few good pubs and of course the castle which is well worth a visit if you like that kind of thing. I'd definitely stay there again for that price, if not a bit more. A tip though, Pembroke has a one way system in the centre so if you miss the entrance to the car park, you have to drive all the way round again.
