Perfect stay as always at Penbontbren , it's always lovely to see Kathryn and Richard and have a catch up and enjoy the delicious breakfast each morning. If you are looking for absolute peace and tranquility , this is the place , lovely drives out in all directions . Enjoyed watching the birds starting to nest and took some lovely pictures in the grounds . And the bed is like no other. I've never slept better than in those beds . See you next time . Thank you

It is said that 'you should never go back' but we did return to Penbontbren and we weren't disappointed. The accommodation and setting is terrific and Kathryn & Richard's hospitality and friendliness are second to none. We hope to return again.

I have to say that Penbontbren is fantastic. We had a fabulous 4 days, which included the most delicious breakfast with loads of choice. Kathryn and Richard are a lovely couple who work constantly (yes, even in mid-January) to help their guests and to keep their 18 acres looking as good as possible. Our accommodation was warm and cosy, had never-ending hot water, very comfortable beds and was very clean. We had everything that we needed. I can't fault this place and hope to return very soon.

We had the pleasure of staying at a beautiful 5-star retreat in Llandysul, hosted by the charming and welcoming Richard and Katheryn. Our visit was out of season, and we stayed in one of their recently renovated two-bedroom suites. It was the perfect getaway for myself, my partner, our 4-year-old son, and even our pooch, who was made just as welcome as we were! The accommodation was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and surrounded by stunning, well-maintained gardens. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, ensuring a truly relaxing and comfortable stay. Breakfast was a real highlight, with an excellent variety of choices. We enjoyed the hearty Welsh breakfast on some mornings and opted for the delicious haddock with poached eggs on others – both were fantastic! Although slightly off the beaten track, the retreat’s location guarantees a peaceful and tranquil break while still being close enough to the gorgeous beaches that make this area so popular. We were so impressed with our stay that we’ve already booked the stunning cottage for our summer family holidays. Many thanks again to Richard and Katheryn for making our stay so memorable – we can’t wait to return!

Fantastic few days away in an idyllic setting. The suite was perfect, very spacious with a huge comfy bed and they had thought of everything you might need. The breakfast room was beautiful with a wide variety of breakfast options, catering for everyone’s taste. Kathryn and Richard were very welcoming and lovely to chat too. Highly recommend this luxury B&B which truly is luxury and 5*.

Beautiful setting and lovely hosts, cottage was luxury and had everything we needed and more, had a lovely breakfast in the beautiful dining area, will definitely be recommending to friends and family, thank you so much my dogs loved it too a real home from home feel

Penbontren is located in a peaceful and beautiful location. There is a lovely welcoming ambience. The rooms are extremely comfortable and thoughtfully furnished. The breakfast is delicious. It’s the sort of accommodation we’ve been looking for for a long time.

As ever a delight to stay at this lovely family retreat, 5 star all the way. Breakfasts are local produce served in an elegant conservatory. Big comfy beds and beautifully furnished accommodation. The grounds and surrounding countryside are ablaze with Autumn colours this month.

We had a lovely stay at Penbontbren. The setting was very tranquil and calming. The accommodation was comfortable with all the necessary amenities. A great location for getting away from the noise and bustle of everyday life. Great for dogs. The hosts were very hospitable and friendly. Breakfasts were very good - particular favourites were the pancakes and maple syrup and the scrambled egg and salmon. A great stay - it felt like a retreat. Would recommend.
