Very nice old-fashioned B&B. Big room. Comfortable bed. Friendly landlady. Tasty breakfast. Free parking. Convenient location close to downtown Pensacola restaurants and attractions. Like a trip back in time to the previous century…

This place is as advertised but for one grievous omission: not handicapped accessible. While the 150 year old home is interesting, it has over twenty stairs to the bedroom. There is no banister along the large steps to the front porch. And no ramp to the porch. No handrails in the tub area. So if you are old and your knees hurt, you may not be able to manage this. The landlady, Barbie, is friendly and gracious. Just not for me.

The ambience of this historic home was a treat. Built in the late 1800's, it really felt like you were travelling back in time. Lots of natural wood, rockers in the parlor and on the veranda, plenty of reading material and soft early 20th century music playing in the background made for a lovely experience. Breakfast (served on china) was excellent and having home made chocolate and lemon cake available upon arrival was a treat. The room we had was a generous size and comfortable. For awareness: no check ins before 3 pm. That was fine with us, but something which could be an issue for others. We only booked one night as we were on our way through Pensacola, but would like to return for a longer stay.

Note on the front door with house,room key and instructions. Cluttered old and musty smelling. Tried to call website to see if we could borrow a wine cork. The message said they were having problems with messages reaching them so better to text. We waited an hour before husband went and bought an opener. Never saw anyone until breakfast. Mattress pillows and spread old. Go somewhere else!

A beautiful historic home in a great location. An easy, safe walk to restaurants, ice cream shops, the harbor, and museums downtown. A straight easy drive to the beach. Barbee is a kind person who makes you feel right at home. She is an excellent cook. Our breakfast was different every day. We ate cinnamon toast, waffles, eggs, bacon, and fresh fruit. Barbee gave us tips on where to eat and fun things to do. We enjoyed spending several days at this beautiful bed and breakfast.

Owner is very friendly and helpful and prepared a great breakfast. Victorian places tend to be a bit dark & cluttered, but accommodations were fine. Bathroom was a bit tiny, and they provided good parking off the street. Had to specifically request a hair dryer. Very close to all downtown attractions.

Yo soy Europea, tenemos historia y estamos acostumbrados a lo antiguo. Pero es un lugar que recomiendo si te gusta pararte en el tiempo, tiene encanto, allí donde poses los ojos ves pedazos de tiempo maravillosos. Me encanta, entiendo que para alguien no europeo será muy sorprendente y fascinante. Bonito lugar, con carácter y fuera de los hoteles sin identidad. Cómo es una casa antigua si quieres baño privado alójate en la captains quarters ♥️

Nous avons passé 5 nuits ici, un hébergement qui sort vraiment de l'ordinaire. Ici pas de va et vient incessants comme dans un hôtel. Le calme très appréciable, comme à la maison. Barbee, vous accueille avec le sourire et vous donne d'excellents conseils sur les bonnes adresses des alentours. De plus elle connaît quelqu'un qui peut vous faire entrer au musée de la navy bien que celui-ci soit fermé au public depuis 2 ans. Et que dire du fantastique petit déjeuner que Barbee vous sert tous les matins. L'établissement se trouve à quelques centaines de mètres du quartier historique.

Entrare in questa casa ottocentesca di Pensacola, è un po'come entrare a casa propria. I proprietari lasciano il soggiorno a disposizione per gli ospiti per ascoltare un po'di musica o per leggere un libro. Inoltre delle torte fatte in casa e un frigo pieno di bibite, saranno sempre a disposizione degli ospiti. La camera è bellissima ed arredata con mobilio d'epoca ma il fiore all'occhiello della struttura è la fantastica Barbee che accoglie tutti con calore (e con i suoi squisiti french toast!). Anche se il nostro è stato un brevissimo soggiorno, ricorderemo per sempre con affetto questo luogo magico e la signora Barbee.
