Clean and smells very nice but not a 5 star hotel

Stayed here for 2 weeks. Great welcome with Prosecco and sweets. Very stylish decor. Really good pool and Spa. Simple check in. We had booked 2 rooms with inland view and were pleasantly surprised to have balconies with sea views. We were on a bed and breakfast basis but had benefits that mostly go with All Inclusive- Free tea and coffee replenished each day. The safe was free as were the pool towels which could be exchanged each day. Also WiFi was free. Breakfast had plenty of choice including an omelette station and fresh orange juice. A few tweeks and I would have given 5 stars. The hotel has 3 bars but only 2 opened - the pool bar and restaurant bar. As the pool bar closed at 7.00 it was awkward to get a drink from the restaurant when not eating there. Also as the lobby bar wasn’t open there was no atmosphere. Also the description with Jet2 said there would be entertainment starting in our second week. This never happened so again lacked atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and any problems we had were dealt with immediately. I can’t name them all but those who who really impressed were Demetrius from the pool bar, Anna from the Restaurant bar, Noman at breakfast and Katerina, the Restaurant manager who made sure everything went smoothly. The hotel is close to the sea and many great restaurants. All in all I would recommend staying at this hotel.

We recently ruturned to this hotel as we were impresssed following a shorter stay last year. My review is below from July 2024. The hotel was a lot quieter this time of year. A bonus as we wanted a peaceful holiday. Check in was smooth. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a lovely view of the sea. The shower was broken and was fixed as soon as we reported it to reception. Although there are only two English speaking channels, our television remote was broken replaced with a different brand remote. This meant we didn’t have tv for 5 of our 7 days, which wasn’t a huge issue, but still a tad annoying. Our rooms were not cleaned daily. This was raised with reception who arrange for your room to be cleaned if it was missed. Unfortunately It wasn’t always followed up and we went without shower gel and clean towels. The restaurant was comfortable and clean. The restaurant staff are all extremely attentive and polite. Special shout out to Lidiya who was exceptional. Breakfast was good. There were only a handful of people dining during our stay, therefore the food was not as varied as our previous visit. It was however very good and one of the reasons we returned. When I queried why there was a cheese selection only available at breakfast and not lunch or dinner, the restaurant manager arranged for a selection of cheeses to be served to me and my partner at dinner if we wished. We could not get the restaurant managers name, but she was fantastic, and very glamorous! The pool bar had decent enough drinks. The snacks were ok. Nice salads and fruit as well which is a nice touch. We were slightly disappointed the pool bar closed at 7pm as the only other option to get a drink was in the main restaurant. This certainly isn’t a hotel to stay in if you don’t want to venture out. There isn’t entertainment and a choice of bars in the evening, which was fine for us as we liked to go to town for variation. If you want a quiet couple of drinks in the hotel it is very relaxing. Also with a wonderful decor and scent. A lot of attention has been put into the design of the hotel and the staff certainly take pride in it. It certainly creates a wonderful ambience. I strongly encourage other guests to give feedback during their stay. There are QR codes on dinner tables and a survey which is easy to complete. After raising a few issues, the manager spoke to us the following day. He was exceptional and everything we raised as a concern he took on board and made changes then and there. He offered a complementary massage, which shows he took our concerns seriously and wanted the best for his guests. Unfortunately I can’t review the massage as we left the next day and there was no availability. This is the perfect hotel for anyone wishing to escape and relax. The staff go the extra mile and make you feel incredibly welcome. The reception team can come across as rude at times. This is a let down to the wider front of house team. I couldn’t give it a zero!! Despite having a confirmed booking, we were turned away upon arrival due to a double booking caused by a Jewish event. While we absolutely respect all religious events, the issue lies in the mismanagement of bookings—particularly why confirmed guests were displaced in the process. We arrived after 11 PM, only to be informed by the receptionist that there was no room available for us. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told not to be rude—despite remaining calm and simply seeking a resolution. While I understand the receptionist may not be personally at fault, the reality is that she is the face of the business at that hour, and she is paid and our concerns should have been handled with empathy and professionalism. It is incredibly frustrating to be left without accommodation late at night, especially after having paid and received confirmation for our stay. A common occurs it seems and whilst I would appreciate it if they could look into how this situation was allowed to happen, and what steps will be taken to ensure this doesn’t occur for other guests in the future, I remain concerned other guests in our party await the same fate!! I’m sure their reviews will follow !! As they are due here over the next few days !! Do not book !!!!!!!!

We went to this hotel back in June this year with friends & family , we had a great holiday and decided to go back in October for my birthday. We were having a fabulous time there and as we only do B&B were able to meet up with friends & family (who live & stay in the area) for our dinners in the evening, take walks along the coast and have our catch ups with them. BUT !!!! all that started to change when the hotel started to erect some sort of construction around the pool - moved all the loungers and were busy chopping palm trees for their palms. We asked a member of staff what’s was happening only to be told there was to be over 250 guests coming who had hired the complete hotel for their religious festival holidays and then asked us when we were leaving like other guests had been asked to leave !!! We said we weren’t leaving as we had another week to go , but we then found out and spoke to others who were being evicted from the hotel in favour of these other people arriving!! So we asked the manager would we be affected by what was happening, he categorically stood there and assured us no. !! But when these people started arriving it was chaos, there were so many . We continued with our holiday, but were made to feel VERY uncomfortable by these other guests as we were “outsiders “ and that was made very apparent. So there were still other guests of our ilk there and they were being asked to go to other hotels ! This being arranged by “said manager”, but, we still were clinging on , then finally last week on the Wednesday morning, we had heard some banging of sorts on the landing , we get up to find the water had been turned off to our rooms, thus forcing us down to reception to be told by the manager that we had to move out and that he’d booked us in another hotel (which then ended up a 15 min drive away in the middle of no where ) and ruined our second week away from our holiday with friends and family he didn’t care and he knew that there weren’t problems with pipes etc as he lied to us about the water , we know that each room can be accessed to turn off certain pipes in case of emergency He stood there barefaced lying to us and then there were other of “these guests” arriving and we heard the reception telling them that they were just waiting for us to check out and their rooms would be ready !!!!! We were treated disgustingly and lied to and our tour operator was agog at what Herbal hotel had done . It cost us heavily to stay in the new hotel as we had our holiday plans in Pernera and we were sent to the edge of Asia Nappa, it cost us travelling back to meet friends & family and lost time Happy Sukkot to the Jewish community who took over the hotel at our expense, the hotel knew they were coming and SHOULD NOT HAVE ACCEPTED THE BOOKING FOR US AND-OTHER PEOPLE FROM THE UK VIA JET2 , but they did and then evicted us to suit their own greed for money from the other party of guests - disgusting
