Hôtel de La Loge

It was ok. The pictures on the website do not match reality. I think the rate is overpriced and not worth it. We couldn't connect to the wifi, wasn't given a password. When we reached out for the password, we were directed to a recording that was in French (I do not speak French).

We booked to stay for 2 nights due to the central location of the hotel. At no time when we made our booking were we made aware that there is a large renovation project going on in the 2nd floor of the building. I guess we should have realised when we walked past all the scaffolding to access the hotel! Our mistake. We had a large room with a balcony on the 1st floor overlooking the town hall. There was unfortunately quite a lot of noise during the night from revellers which I guess one might expect at such a central location. However the noise of the workmen with their drills and hammers from 7am onwards should not have to be expected and in our opinion is totally unreasonable. The hotel should not be open whilst the renovations are ongoing and at the very least guests should be told about it when they book and given the option to cancel. We did not stay for the second night and were given a refund but no discount was given for the first night or even an apology despite my asking. Very disappointing.

Never again Very disappointed, shower had hair all over, sheets with stains, sink was blocked, the safe was not working, we ask to get all fix but nobody came to help… do not bother booking this place. I don’t often post reviews but this time I really think it was necessary…

Super staff! Loved the area for shopping and sightseeing. Lots of food options. Parking was 5 mins away easy to spot and a cheap 14€ overnight. Room is well decorated, has great AC/heat system. Staff is super nice and helpful. The red carpets are soooo clean and nice it has a Moulin Rouge feeling. Loved it!

My husband and I and another couple stayed for 3 nights. This typically French hotel is situated right in the heart of Perpignan. It is very clean and well managed and the staff were very friendly and spoke good English (my French is not so good)! The room was large, as was the bed. The towels were changed every day. The windows opened wide and there was also air conditioning. There was a kettle in the room. The breakfast was continental and was plentiful and included meats, cheeses, pastries, bread, and cereal. You could help yourself to coffee and orange juice. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and we will definitely return.

The hotel is in a side street in the most convenient location. Literally everything is within walking distance - places to see, restaurants, cafes, shops, even the tourism office. Honestly you can’t ask for a better location. We found the reception staff very helpful and friendly - especially the young lady who worked both evenings. It was a little off-putting to find out that reception closed at 8:00 pm - as it’s a hotel I would have thought there would be someone on property 24 hours but luckily we had no issues during our stay and did not need assistance on either night. The property is not modern but it was clean and comfortable. We did not have the continental breakfast offered as there are many cafes and restaurants steps away. We were a party of three and on check in I found the bedroom and bathroom to be basic but I was pleasantly surprised that it was spacious (by European standards) and overlooked the street. There was always something interesting to look at. So if you are looking for a reasonable room in a fabulous location, then consider Hotel De La Loge. Don’t expect bells and whistles and you will not be disappointed.
