Rydges Perth Kings Square an EVT hotel recensioner

Amenities are lacking, no slippers provided. Fridge was stocked with chargeable drinks so there is no space to store our own drinks. Housekeeping was lacklustre as stains on counters were not wiped. Drainage in shower stall is also weirdly configured that may lead to small flood outside the stall. Good amount of tea sachets provided. Bed is also very comfortable. Location is good and luggage storage is provided after check out.

had a very bad experience with the hotel - realised after checking my credit card transaction that they charged me for incidental charges, mentioning that the housekeeping smelt smoke (indicating that we smoked) while cleaning up. the point is, i am a non-smoker! hotel did not even bother sending any email/notification to mention charges or deductions being made. i stayed at the hotel for 8 nights so i find it ridiculous that they are mentioning smoke on the day of check out. furthermore, i checked out of my room at 9.15 am (i booked an airport pickup so i’m certain of the timing) and i’m certain housekeeping isnt done the very next minute, thus how can they confirm that the smoke was due to smoking in the room by us? am awaiting reply from the hotel + trip regarding the situation but i am feeling so wrongfully accused that i have to write a review about this. on a side note, housekeeping did not bother changing the bedsheets till i wrote a note to politely request for them to change - there were evident stains on the bedsheet hence i knew they did not change the sheets.

Location was good, room was big and toilet was spacious! However, some toiletries and room slippers were lacking, and service staff could've attended to us sooner regarding the replenishment of those items.

Required a deposit in cash as my credit card was not working (Due to scammers) and I had to walk 3 km to withdraw cash for the deposit. This was very inconvenient given I was tried from taking a red eye flight and just wanted to sleep, That being said the room and bed was good and it was nice and quiet.

Location is good and room is spacious. However the bathroom layout is abit weird

Great location, very clean and modern rooms, with very comfortable beds. Very close walk to Murray Street Mall which has everything you'd possibly need. Close to Perth station/Perth Underground as well.

The hotel was in a nice location however the room was not a good set up. One of the beds was right next to the bathroom / toilet door which was annoying for the person sleeping in that bed. The sheet on one of the beds had some marks on it. For a two person stay (two beds) we were only given one towel each, I would have expected two towels each for a 4 star rated property. There was a cupboard in our room that was left unlocked and inside was the hot water system, very unprofessional that the cupboard was unlocked and we could see / access it. Also we had to turn the aircon system off as it made such a loud noise that it was impossible to sleep with it turned on. It's an average hotel at best and I expected a lot better for a well known brand that claims it is a 4 star hotel chain.

The hotel was amazing for the price at that time. Very clean, courteous staff and spacious. The location was spot on too with the hotel being bang on the middle of the city.

No parking, have to go and park in public parking.no pool . No breakfast which we had paid for prior to our stay. Reason, chef was away sick. They were offering cereal and toast.

4 night stay. Room was spacious and comfortable. Great bed and bedding. Reception area unwelcoming atmosphere and layout and reception staff need to be a a little more welcoming, smiles are free. But that is starting to feel like a Perth thing. Not just Rydges. Maybe reception staff consider themselves slightly superior. Room service on the other hand had a lovely demeanour and work ethic.

Great location, near perth station and perth underground.

A very quaint and friendly place to stay in. It was centrally located. Step out of the hotel, and you have countless options for cafes and eateries. The train stations are a short walk away. The bus stops are around the corner. 5 minutes away is a factory outlet mall. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. If we come back to Perth, we will definitely be staying here.
