Hotel der Wiesenhof

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel der Wiesenhof. The staff was marvelous, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and had a good sense of humor. All spoke English fluently. Our junior suite was spacious with comfortable beds. The hotel is located near several hiking trails, and others can easily be reached with the excellent public bus system, which is free for hotel customers. There is a huge (25 meter) heated indoor pool as well as a fitness center to enjoy after a busy day of hiking. The evening meals consistently had four choices for mains--a fish, a vegetarian, and usually two meat options. There was always fresh salads, breads, and cheeses. Most mains were well prepared and had a beautiful presentation, although a few were just okay in terms of taste. Breakfasts included choices of eggs, omelets, or waffles with various toppings, as well as fresh fruit, breads, cold cuts, cheeses, and fresh vegetables. We have stayed in three hotels recently in upper Austria. All "king" size beds are actually two twins put together, with two separate twin sized comforters. We would love to stay there again should we return to the Tyrol.

Amazing food, spotlessly clean, friendly helpful staff, comfortable rooms, lovely spa facilities and pool. We came with high expectations and these were exceeded. Beautiful lakeside position and close to both downhill and cross country slopes. With the snow melting and the sun out there were also beautiful treks up to alpine huts.

I can find so much to praise about the Hotel Wiesenhof. Impeccably run, with friendly and helpful staff, beautifully clean with an amazing pool and spa area. Breakfast was an absolute hi lite. As soon as dinner was over I was looking forward to breakfast! So fresh, varied and beautifully laid out, with a few surprises throughout the week. Dinner was very good too. Nothing was too much trouble particularly for the ladies who ran reception. Particular thanks to Jasmine who helped me book hikes and trips and recommended walks, eateries and activities. I felt like more than just a guest and would love to return one day. It might be nice if the bar could have some cozy seating areas but I can’t think of anything else I would change.

Coming back for the 7th time to this family run hotel you really feel like coming back home. The hotel is well maintained and very clean while the rooms have been renovated. All the rooms are large with balcony and great view of the mountain or the lake. The food is excellent both breakfast and dinner and all those years the quality is the same. I really enjoy that a table is assigned to you for the length of your stay so you don't have to worry about booking a table nor waiting in line for one. Either for breakfast or dinner you just walk to your table at your convenient time. The staff is well trained , polite and professional while the whole family is on top of everything and everyone to ensure the high quality of services and satisfaction of the clients. The spa and pool is one of the best in Pertisau while the garden for the summer has a great view of the lake and the mountains. This is a destination for all year round providing activities for both summer and winter. Highly recommended .

Perfect stay from start to finish. Very friendly helpful staff full of information who couldn't do enough for you. Rooms were spotlessly clean, a good size and fantastic views. The food was awesome accompanied by a great choice of wines. The spa and pool was never too busy and a great place to relax after a days walking. We stayed for nine days and found enough snowy walks, cable car rides and boat trips to keep us going. The new years eve gala meal and entertainment was spot on followed by the most awesome firework display by all the hotels in the valley. We don't usually do reviews but felt the Hotel Wiesenhof definitely deserved one. Hope to see you guys again soon, maybe in the summer next time. Thanks for a great stay.

This hotel shows the true meaning of hospitality. The facilities are wonderful, most especially the swimming pool. A massage is also a must. My room was comfortable and spotless. The food is delicious, with great choice at breakfast and dinner. You can also choose to have a lighter portion of the main course at dinner, a lovely detail. All the staff are so friendly, helpful and make you feel like one of the family. Plus, the hotel is situated in such a beautiful place. I hope I’ll get to make a return visit one day.
