We had a fantastic stay at the Sea View Hotel with our teens. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Our rooms where modern and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches like a coffee machine that made mornings extra special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless and stylish—felt like a touch of luxury. The sea view was absolutely stunning Dining at the hotel was another highlight: the menu was excellent, the cocktails were top-notch, and the quality of the food and desserts was outstanding. Every meal felt like a treat. Highly recommend for families looking for comfort, great food, and a gorgeous coastal setting.

The best meal I’ve had in ages! Absolutely delicious. Friendly, efficient staff, and I had two courses for £26.95, starting off with lentil soup with a warm bread roll followed by Seaview Mornay: pan-fried haddock with cheesy mash and seasonal vegetables. Top notch! Had a cup of tea afterwards and it came with home-baked shortbread. Amazing meal. I’ll be back!

Would highly recommend the Seaview for food and brilliant service. We went for a meal for a friend’s 70th birthday. The staff were lovely and the young lad who served us was so polite. The food was amazing.

Omg what a hidden gem called in for our anniversary meal on spec only to discover meal offer was on and a Sunday lunch was being served . We eat out a fair bit and was stunned at the quality of the food ; the Cullen skink was outstanding and the Sunday lunch was so tasty we didn’t want it to end ONE of our top tasty meals ever and couldn’t recommend it highly enough We were served by two lovely young ladies who could not have been more helpful special mention goes to libby who was friendly professional and charming .

My wife and two daughters went to The Seaview on a Sunday evening. Hadn't been there for years, so I didn't know what to expect. Before going, we had a quick look online at the menu to give us an idea what we would get, however, when we were given menus, we recieved a Sunday menu which had a 2 course and a 3 course price. These were £25.95 for 2 courses or £32.95 for the 3. We even received some taster haggis and pork sausage rolls and homemade rolls to enjoy before our starters as an appetiser! I went for the prawn and melon cocktail and the roast beef. Service was quick and pleasant, and the food was excellent, well above expectations. Really enjoyed the meal, as did the rest of my family. Will certainly be back again.

Excellent little hotel
I stayed 2 nights in the Seaview Hotel in July 2025 - on arrival, I was struck by the age and traditional appearance of the building, and wondered how such a small property could offer rooms. Inside, it's gorgeous - a lot of money has been spent on developing the property, and very thoughtful touches have been added to the rooms. It was extremely comfortable, and the food in the bistro was excellent. Highly recommended!

Called in here to use the toilet and ended up eating at the bistro. Looked over the menu and opted for winter vegetable soup to start with what tasted like home made bread. I was working my way through the portion when heather reappeared with complimentary chef tasters. I continued with the soup but indulged with the complimentary dishes as well. Heather detailed it was southern fried chicken with a sweet and sour sauce and a mini mini bread. Both were exceptional. When heather came back I asked if I could order the chicken but she explained they were just tasters that would illustrate what to expect of other dishes on the menu. I had ordered haggis neeps and tatties from Jamie who explained they would come out nothing what you would expect from normal restaurant food and sure enough out came the dish like large potato croquttes absolutely unique and outstanding. , both Heather and Jamie delivered the ultimate customer service experience with flawless service completing the whole package. I would go as far as to say this is the best bistro I have ever eaten from. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone and will definetely return.

Stopped by for lunch and wasn't disappointed. The chicken parfait was 10/10, and the pork normande special was brilliant. Highly recommend a visit if you get the chance. Very nice front of house staff. Will be back to try some more of the dishes in the future
