Casart Game Lodge

We had a great time for our first safari in South Africa where we spent 2 nights at Casart Game Lodge. We were warmly welcomed and soon went to relax in our room’s private jacuzzi with a bottle of champagne. What a perfect way to start our honeymoon. The staff took great care of us throughout our stay. The place is simply spectacular. We particularly appreciated the view from the terrace as well as our room, very cozy and intimate, all in a typical decor. We were in total immersion. The meals served to us were delicious, a fine dining experience. Our guide, Happy, took us on extraordinary game drives within the reserve. In addition to his kindness, his passion for his job makes you feel like you are living an adventure. Our only regret is not having spent more nights at Casart. We leave South Africa with unforgettable memories. Thank you again to Sonia and all the staff.

Great place! I’d recommend to any one of my friends and family members to come to South Africa and stay at Casart. The staff is just so nice, Happy the game drive ranger shared great knowledge with us about all the animals in the area as well as the lands and the stars. Agrineth (sorry if mispelled) and Stanford served us very well and made us feel at home! Tip for animal seekers like me and friends, do the game drive package with three drives included and also reserve one or two days to go to the Kruger National Park (1h drive to nearest gate) on a self Safari (just too good of an experience to pass)

Staying at Casart was such a treat for us. The staff was amazing and the owner really helpful. We especially enjoyed the pool + terrace with amazing view over the bush. The game drives with ranger Happy were definitely the biggest highlight for us. He was so passionate, his enthusiasm was contagious. Would definitely recommend staying here!

My review is so over due! life gets crazy and just why a stay at Casart is relaxing and rejuvenating. After ten yrs , we Returned for 6 nights. Everything was as wonderful as we remembered. All the positive descriptions are accurate. Sonia is charming and thoughtful and her staff are professional and friendly. The full breakfast is satisfying. The dinners by candlelight are creative and delicious. Presentation and service - 4 star. Our ( netted ) king bed comfortable, our porch tranquil and the hot tub …perfect under the stars . Yes, expect exciting game drives and elephants at the watering hole. ..like magic. It’s not a posh place but comfortable and authentic. It was worth the long journey back to the bush and Casart.

We stayed at Casart Game Lodge for a period of 5 days, as our base for our Kruger Park game drives. This lodge is also situated in the greater Kruger park, Grietje Reservat, with open gates to the Kruger Park, with all big 5 also located in this reservat. We have been such lucky as almost all where there and some even visited the lodge, what is a great experience. Sonia the owner and her team did a perfect job in hosting us, food was great, rooms very clean and complete, the area is great. As mentioned we almost had all big 5 already at our game drive within the reservat of the lodge. Full of elephants, big group of lions, etc. We had a very great time, thanks!
