Sun Chakra Boutique Hotel

The staff greeted me with a big smile and carried my bags up the steep stairs. The room was bright, clean and had a shared balcony to watch over the busy streets. Good location and lots of tuktuks to get around. Would be happy to stay here again.

Worst hotel I ever stayed in and I didn’t get the room I booked because according to the receptionist they were fully booked, promised to change my room the next day but didn’t! The hotel is dirty with bad smell in the room 😡 ! The room was not clean and I have to wait half an hour for them to clean and I stay 3 nights and the cleaner didn’t even until I checked out 😡

Cool spot. The bed and bathroom were clean for the price. The place could use a deep clean in the nooks and crannies of the toilet seat. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The only suggestion besides a little more cleaning is to not bother people until it is checkout time. They called and woke me up almost 2 hours before checkout, even though I booked another night the evening before. I unplugged the phone so I could sleep, so they pounded on my door non-stop while I was in the shower almost an hour before checkout time. It should be noted that the staff went out of their way to be very helpful and polite with me the whole time. They really did go above and beyond. But getting woke up and bothered in the shower is pretty annoying. I looked around at other places and this place did seem to be the best hotel for the money in the area by a long shot. So I will be coming back here when I am in the area next time. I recommend the Cafe Bora to eat, drink, and relax.

Stairway very narrow and steep. No elevator. The location is very busy with loud car sounds. The price is fair for the type of hotel.

I appreciated the kind and welcoming staff. Room was good in all areas. Free water is offered. This is a very secure property across the street from a temple. The location is very convenient for food and shopping.

Good room. Clean. Good location. Reception is good help full. Had hot water to make tea and coffee all night.
