Monsoon Bassac Hotel recensioner

The best thing about this hotel is the price and location. There’s nothing else worth mentioning. It wasn’t properly clean. The small closet was full of dust same as both tables. There was NO toilet paper, is this normal?? No toilet paper was provided, only these very thin tissues. The AC wasn’t working properly so I was not able to change the settings with the remote. The staff said someone was coming to fix next morning, never did . The room was too hot to be without the AC on but it gets cold at night. The staff seems to do bare minimum.

Great location, check in easy, money changer across the street. Great local food street right in front of the hotel and western around the corner. Super Duper Supermarket close by also. Many small lanes to explore and interesting graffiti to find. Pool area was a little unkempt but overall good place, city view, great value, stayed a night when we arrived and when we left. Thank you!

Great location and the room was perfect! It had everything I needed and I loved having a bath. It was great to have a balcony and watch all the Khmer New Year celebrations get underway! The pool area was good and had a fantastic view of the city. The wasn’t towels when I went up one morning and the cushions on the lounges could probably do with being changed. Staff were very friendly and lovely. Overall, happy with my stay and the price.

Really good location for us and we got a lot of use out the pool as it was so hot. Rooms where good, really clean and well equipped. Enjoyed our stay.

Great location, great staff. The price isn’t too bad for the overnight stay. Food is a little expensive.

Upon arrival at the reception the guy at the desk barely raised his head up to look at me. It was asif I had interrupted him. He gave me the key to my room and pointed to the lifts and went back straight to his phone! This is meant to be a 4-star hotel.....I have stayed in better 3 star hotels. I let the desk know 3 times that the remote control for the air-conditioning wasn't working and that the shower head was broken. They kept promising that maintenance will look at the issues. My room wasn't tidied the next so I got no water or fresh towels. As I got off the lift on the 6th floor there was a rat that ran across the corridor to the balcony. It wasn't a mouse....it was a rat! I let the staff know and they said that I must have seen a popular kitten that hangs around the hotel. I know the difference between a kitten and a rat!! That was the last straw! Luckily I had only booked 2 nights just in case I didn't like the place, so I didn't extend my stay and I checked before midday today.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room had a private balcony which was great. The location is great for Phnom Penh, travelling around the city to most of the popular tourist spots for maximum $2 tuktuk. Would stay again.

Nice bright room and beautiful big bathtub which was somewhat ruined by there being no hot water. The pool was also closed during my stay but they offered a free drink to compensate for this. The bed that I had was made out of a woven material and due to this they couldn't clean it properly, i found mouldy crumbs, newspaper scraps and even a mint on the side of the bed. The room was also pretty loud.

Spacious room with nice bathtube and pleasant balconny. Good strategic location in walking distance from mall, casino and bassac lane with bars and restaurants. Been there several times and will return again.

I lost my charger and t-shirt after they clean up the room. Bad

Good location, rooms are nice but smaller in terms of size than advertised on Trip.com booking page. Staff are ok, pretty clean rooms.
