Be cautious and careful with your belongings at this resort
We had an unfortunate incident during our stay at New World Resort. One afternoon, three cleaning staff entered our villa for routine cleaning while we were still there. Since we were about to leave, we waited in the living room and didn’t have a chance to secure our belongings properly. Our wallets, left unattended in handbags in the bedroom, were later found missing all the Hong Kong dollar notes belonging to my husband and aunt.
We immediately reported this to the front desk, but after their investigation, they concluded that there was no concrete evidence. We remain certain, however, that the theft occurred during the cleaning, as that was the only moment our wallets were out of sight.
Therefore, I strongly advise guests staying at this resort to keep your money and valuables with you at all times. Additionally, be cautious when using the indoor swimming pool, as we noticed some bugs around the area.
On the positive side, the environment itself is pleasant, and the mini water park is quite nice. However, one negative experience can significantly affect the overall impression.

Overall, it’s an overrated resort.
If you look for a resort which provides an exceptional experience, I would not recommend to stay there.
At first, I was attracted by the advisement and the brand New World and it looked quite luxurious.
However, my communication experience for pre-arrival and the experience during my stay made this so called 5 stars resort questionable.
1. Before coming to Phu Quoc, I was asking the guest relation to set up the kids amenities but nothing happened
2. I was also asking if a birthday cake can be arranged for my family but nothing happened
3. I was asking if the private pick up car can be arranged as my flight got delayed 2 hours and couldn’t catch the shuttle. You know what nothing happened
4. Ordered a local grill chicken for in room
dining but it was not fully cooked
5. I and my family have been dropped off at the middle of the road because another guest was angry at the driver why she got the last stop
6. No smile for all staffs
7. No intention to follow up after I told the above issues to the reception when I was checking out
The only good things at the resort are the kids club and new kids swimming zone.
I am bit disappointed to the services as I was expecting too much.

We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights during Christmas, and our experience at this family-friendly resort was disappointing. There were not enough beach chairs by the beach and pool—only about 40 available. In such a large resort, it's surprising to encounter this issue. Many guests occupied the chairs early in the morning and then left, indicating poor communication and management.
Additionally, there was a chronic shortage of towels by the pool, and the staff by the beach and pool failed to coordinate effectively. We were told to sit on the ground while chairs that had been reserved for over five hours remained unoccupied, which was very disappointing.
There were only 1 or 2 staff members responsible for the beach and lifeguarding, and the kayak rental service was disorganized due to insufficient staffing and lack of proper arrangements.
Overall, this 5-star family resort did not meet our expectations, and we will not choose to stay here again.

Superb facilities. Didn’t realise there was a mini waterpark when I made the booking, which is free for hotel guest. Buggy is quick to arrive when we request for it. Beach was nice and clean. Kids loved the big pool. Might be coming back in the near future👍

At the front desk, I had to ask the staff repeatedly, cause her voice was so quiet when checking in. (She said the name means star.)
Also, she kept telling me to sit over there and wait, and they checked in a long time after the check-in time without giving me a clear reason.
Of course, there was no understanding or apology.
We had to wait until everyone else checked in, and after talking to another staff, they apologized and help us check in quickly.
While waiting for loading our luggage onto the buggy(the male staff took our luggage tag), a female staff member wearing a uniform and with a half-up hairstyle (Don't know her name because she didn't have a name tag) approached us and asked to give her the tag in a hurry.
I said, "The staff took it," but she cut me sharp and kept asking me in an irritated and angered tone, "So which luggage is yours!"
My elderly parents were very embarrassed, and they wondered why the staff member was so rude.
She was literally aggressive and scared the guest. I'm not trying to be like the King and expected much from the thoel.
The buggy driver and the staff at the restaurant were very friendly.
Compared to the hospitality I received the next day at another hotel, I clearly felt that my time at New World was a waste.
That staff does not respect the precious time of people who take their time to come to Phu Quoc for vacation, and they need to check their service manual.
If anyone around me is going to Phu Quoc, I will tell them to avoid New World.
There are so many hotel and Resorts in Phu Quoc..
