Kamala Dreams

We booked two rooms for three people - I got the superior room while my parents stayed in the beach suite. Our rooms were cleaned everyday and any used towels were switched out for clean ones too. Overall, i was impressed by the level of cleanliness. However it is a humble hotel, and there were no elevators so we had to carry our luggages up and down the stairs. We opted to eat out as much as we could so i have nothing to comment on the breakfast. The beach suite had an electrical problem so my parents had to downgrade to a superior room. The manager said the short circuit was due to us switching on both the water heater and the air conditioner. I didnt argue much because i didnt want to ruin my parents holiday vibe, and fairly asked for a refund of the cost difference between the suite and the superior room (4000baht). I was upset by the fact that my parents couldnt wake up to the beach view as i had planned for them, but the manager said he would let us have the room for free the next time we come. Hope he remembers that promise though, haha.

Great location near the beach and shops, massage parlour, tailors and super restaurants. Tommy is so helpful and kind and always checking we were happy. Friendly staff with a lovely smile. Restaurant on the beach is so romantic and food was delicious.

We have just stayed at Kamala Dreams and I’d like to write this review because it is such a fabulous place. Firstly, it is a family owned hotel and as such it is incredibly friendly and homely. Big Thankyou to Tommy who stayed up to check us in after a very long flight delay! Nothing was ever too much trouble. Our room was beautiful. Spotlessly clean with good air con and hot shower. Our bed was huge with a soft cotton sheet and light duvet. We had a little kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Water was given to us daily. The room had lovely decor and our patio doors opened out onto the hotel pool which was also spotless. Plenty of sun loungers by the pool and a pretty restaurant attached. The front of Kamala Dreams is on a great little street with plenty of shops and a 7-11. The rear of the hotel leads onto the beach and you are literally in the centre of everything you could want. We had such a relaxing time there and we were very comfortable. Thankyou Kamala Dreams for such a lovely start to our trip!
