Racha Island Resort (Rayaburi) recensioner

Everything about my stay was great, but I was disappointed by the experience I had with the front desk manager. As we had already checked out but still had two hours before our boat departure, we decided to go for a swim. When I politely asked for a towel, I received an unfriendly response: “You have already checked out, so it’s not allowed.” This response made me feel as if I was no longer valued as a guest, which left a negative impression. It’s unfortunate how a single interaction can overshadow an otherwise pleasant stay. I’m now uncertain whether I would recommend this hotel to others, as one person’s attitude can truly impact the entire experience.

5 star location, 2star hotel? Toilets by reception and swimming pool very dirty, no soap and no hand drying facilities. No hot water in the room except for electric shower. Shower drain backed up. No phone, writing paper or pen in the room. Toilet paper in bathroom not replaced. Restaurant menu limited if you’re staying for more than a couple of days. Won’t be staying again.

Beautiful quiet island. I had a room in little town house on a second floor it was spacious and bright. Other rooms that are in the building next to the swimming pool super dark and don’t have proper windows so not recommended at all. This particular hotel works directly with Chinese so majority are Chinese . Beach is almost empty every day, only daytime there are travel boats coming from phuket for few hours but still it doesn’t bother much z. Breakfast is allright . Some breakfast variety not spectacular but also not that bad. Coffee is horrible on the whole island, everywhere. Many comodo around . In general you come there for a scenery for few days. No activities around. No other places to go so few days more than enough.

Old world style hotel. Lovely and quiet on the beach on Racha Island. There is building development going on but we were up-graded to the original building at the pool. Breakfast was standard buffet. Pleasant to sit at the beach for dinner. Worth staying at, but nothing fancy.

Perfect set for a restful and beautiful place, the beach is a wow and the environment cosy and charming. Not over tourist gadget stuff just perfect.

Good location but the organization is really the worst

Staff not responding to emails at all. If need to arrange sth with the resort, better use local number to call them. Now there are many 1 day trip tours, morning almost no chairs, beach is also crowded.

Very good people, place, hotel.

This is a long review. TLDR - awesome staff, 10/10 view, but maybe don’t book our room (villa), or book a room here during travel peak seasons so there may be more staff and better maintained facilities. We stayed overnight for 1 day at Racha Island. Our itinerary: 1. Join half a day tour (Phuket ＞ Racha) 2. Arrive Racha and stayed behind 3. The next morning, left the island and joined the rest of the tour. We were lucky the tour guides were willing to accommodate our overnight schedule. Racha Island Resort itself had amazing staff, 10/10. However, the amenities are quite run-down, perhaps because the room we stayed at were not frequently booked and hence not well maintained. During our stay, the following happened: - Our room hairdryer broke and started smelling burnt - Our toilet flush malfunctioned and water kept overflowing out till the toilet floor - The shower head broke - There was no hot water until the staff arrived and fixed it - Our room minipool water seemed a bit dirty and green, we requested for cleansing but unfortunately that did not happen. We ended up not using our pool at all - We were supposed to have the entire villa area to ourselves, but the gates could not be locked and did not have enough gates. People kept ignoring the “private area” signage, opening the gates themselves, and walking in and out our area, and stared at us while literally walking past the outside of our villa, so we had to keep our curtains closed all day as it felt a bit unsafe. Can’t exactly blame their lack of respect since the surrounds did not have a clear indication / proper gates that showed they were not supposed to trespass. - We ordered a taxi to the pier but it never arrived (but thanks to the staff’s quick thinking, we had a motorcycle ride instead which was fun!) The view was amazing though, perhaps our stay would be been more pleasant if we had a more realistic expectations. However, the staff deserved all the respect for always making things work and for fixing all of the above issues fairly quick.

Good stay in the hotel. few things that for me missing for five stars. the hotel don't let you check in before 3pm even though some rooms were ready just in order to spend money in activities. second was lack of some activities for the day. Last point was the coffee not good in the breakfast. I must mention a special thanks to one of the waiter of the restaurant who was really nice during the two days.

The place it’s amazing for sure I’ll be back even 4 night I feel not was enough and people make us feel welcome and food so good

The view was nice, good resort, nice breakfast view and very kind staff at the dining service. For the room, everything was ok, however we stayed 5 nights no hot shower, even though we told the reception but no fixing. Also the suitcase delivery was a bit slow, arrived resort at 11am, checked in the room at 3:15pm, but we further waited nearly an hour to get our suitcases delivered to the room.. I hope this could be improved as we will come back to this beautiful island again and hope the resort remain good status and services:)

I absolutely fell in love with this place. If you're searching for genuine rest and relaxation, you won't find a better spot than this. The staff members are not just friendly; they exude warmth and genuine hospitality, always eager to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. My room, while simple, provided all the essentials I needed, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that suited me perfectly.

Everything is good, except that they don't really service the room. For room, they provide fresh towels daily, 2 bottles of water, and they sweep the floor i think. I can deal with bed not being made, dirty floor, I am even fine to use same towel for 5 days (that's how long our trip was), but i think TOILET should be washed everyday.... Other than that, everything was perfect.
