We stayed for two nights recently and had a great time. The family- based staff were helpful, informative and attentive, and looked after us perfectly. The hotel is out in the countryside but handy for Pickering and nearby places including the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which was the main purpose of the visit. Highly recommended.

What a great stay with a lovely welcome from Becky. The room was very good with very comfortable beds. We were there for 3 nights and ate in the restaurant every night, the food was excellent. The hotel is located down a lane right in the countryside with a great view over the Pickering valley. We will be back

We recently stayed here for 2 nights and had a very comfortable time. Becky is amazing, so friendly and welcoming that we really enjoyed all our chats. Her mum is a very competent cook so we enjoyed some delicious meals in the evenings. the rooms are very clean and comfortable with a wonderful view of the sheep in the fields. We would certainly recommend this hotel.

What a lovely place with lovely people and delicious food. We took our Greyhounds who were nervous as it was first time away from home. Becky was amazing in all her care for us and them, especially as one slipped her harness and shot down the lane. Becky was out after her like a shot following my husband. Fortunately we got her back. We cannot fault anything. Nothing was too much trouble for us or our dogs. It's so quiet and restful and the area is beautiful. The hotel is spotless, comfy beds and Becky's mum is an amazing cook. I'm still drooling over the pan seared salmon with shrimps and brandy sauce. Thank you for a short but lovely stay. Mick, Barbara, Tanni and Arlo xx

First time I've been,recommended by friends, excellent food great rooms made to feel very welcome, becky front of house is amazing very polite, excellent personality she made my weekend, I will definitely be going again and taking other friends, the atmosphere was great 🙂

We were very welcome from staff as soon as we walked into reception. Rooms were very clean, food, evening meal reasonably priced, and the breakfast were excellent. The surroundings are all you'd expect from north Yorkshire. All in all, brilliant visit, so relaxing.

One night with breakfast solo. Fantastic location for views, peace and tranquility. The family who run the hotel & restaurant are warm, welcoming and friendly. I only booked one night as a stop over but if you like walks on your door step and spend time exploring Pickering, which is lovely, take your gear and stay for two nights!

I was traveling to the area alone and had chosen to stay here. I was greeted by a very friendly lady who I later discovered was the owner. The room was very clean a pretty with everything you needed. That evening I had a drink in the bar and the owners were so friendly and welcoming offering any assistance I may need. The breakfast was delicious and while I didn’t eat a meal there the menu looked great and very varied. I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area.
