We loved staying at SoulShine Avellanas. The room was comfortable and the small kitchen was well equipped. The kids had a great time at the pool and the restaurant had delicious food. We loved how the room truly felt like a treehouse, monkeys and all! We hope to be back soon!

Went on a super yoga retreat there. Staff were amazing and very accommodating. Food is amazing and now they have tapas for dinner. I would recommend this as a small local resort close to Playa allenenas Rooms are clean and the property is very safe, with the exception of holler monkeys roaming around highbin the trees above.

Our family recently stayed here (3 kids; two teens and a 9-year-old). We had the Buddha bungalow and it was fantastic! Located about an hour and a half or less from LIR airport, the most notable experience we had here is the vibe of Pura Vida is built into everything. From the delicious the food they serve (thank you Chefs! Everything we ate was superb!), how spacious our unit was, and the gracious staff. Location was about 20 minutes from Tamarindo and about 40-60 from Playas Conchal and Flamingo). Playa Avellenas is a short-drive (like 5 mins) or a 16-20 min. walk. Great restaurants nearby and do please visit the Gelato next door! It really embraces a “chill” atmosphere and offers yoga twice a week, a small but great pool, a trampoline, and great little nooks to read a book, take a nap, or just be. The on-site small store carries a well-curated assortment of handmade Costa Rican products as well as name-brand ones.

My husband and I shared a beautiful three days and nights at SoulShine. Since June is the rainy/low season, we nearly had the place to ourselves! The accommodations are SO cute, the pool area is amazing - cabanas and covered lounge areas, and the whole vibe of the place is great. The attached restaurant is PHENOMENAL. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The owner stopped by our table to chat - she’s so nice! They even have an adorable boutique shop on site and I picked out an amazing kimono, a pair of cute earrings, and a small change purse. 12/10 would recommend staying here! Also - easy walk to the beach through the mangrove bridge.

The place is super nice and the food is amaizing.! Is 8min walking distance to the beach.! Service is good Avellanas beach is calm and perfect for the family.! Soulshine restaurant is open for dinner and is also amaizing food with delicius drinks

Wonderful, chill spot. Beyond friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful and inviting pool with some great places to chill and get outta the sun. Clean, comfy rooms with coffee makers and good coffee. Fantastic food and an easy walk to the beach. Amazing place... can't wait to return!
