We were here for our 25th wedding anniversary. Great place to stay and we were made to feel so welcome. The apartment were clean and in good order, the pool was lovely and the bar well stocked. Would definitely return for another stay in the future

Had a wonderful stay at Elgoni Apartments. Nikos and Helena are a lovely obliging couple. The first few days I had the pool to myself, beautiful views and ambience and full sun. Unfortunately after having a fall I couldn't swim in the pool again, but it was great when I could! The apartment was basic and rustic just as we like, on two levels, a great view from our balcony, and a fantastic large comfy bed. As we travel about a lot whilst on holiday, it really suited our needs. A BIG Thank you. Especially when I needed a plaster and iodine, for my nasty fall, which I stress was not at the apartment, but walking from the Old Town. Great views and location, great place and price. Clean, spacious, and a pool what more can we ask for. 👍

This place is brilliant, lovely traditional Greek style. Owners are so helpful, apartments clean and adequate, great seaviews, inviting pool, well stocked bar. Went with 4 x 80 year olds who negotiated the steps and hills slowly but with ease with option of taxi when necessary. (€8-10 euros back from local villages, it took us all 5 minutes to walk down into village, road to right is picturesque) lots of great tavanas nearby. We all loved it and can't wait to go back. Spent a week here in July, and both very pleased. The owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful, the room spotlessly clean and bedding changed regularly. Fantastic views from the balcony and pool, which is on the roof. Lots of steps within the apartments and town, so not recommended for those with mobility issues.

Great accommodation for what we needed as a base. Lots of lovely eating places walking distance but it’s a hard walk back. Value for money and a pool basically to ourselves at the end of a day. Jump in a taxi to discover lush beaches which are reasonably priced.

Had a totally chilled week at the Elgoni. My friend & I had the pool to ourselves most days. Friendly owners & a beautiful village with plenty of lovely tavernas serving cheap excellent food. If you want to escape from your daily life visit the Elgoni you will not want to leave. We will be returning to this magical place.

Just got back from an amazing holiday. Room was spotless and Helena was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. She works so hard and makes a great breakfast. Take plenty bite cream as with being high up near the mountains there is quite a lot of the little mosquitos waiting to pounce. This is quite high up from the village so a lot of walking needed or hire a car. An amazing relaxing holiday.

Stayed at the Elgoni in June for two weeks, we had one of the top rooms,75 steps from the road,but what a view! sunset every night, the room was perfect for our needs. Nicos and his wife were really nice,and helpful and ran a little bar , perfect for a beer before the walk down to Piscopiano. We really enjoyed our stay at the Elgoni .

Helen & Nikos were great hosts and the apartments had everything we needed, lovely pool area, good bar and fantastic views across to the sea. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome from day 1. A great base to explore the wonderful island that Crete is.
