Doryssa Seaside Resort

The Seaview from 2 floor room balcony was better than expected. (We stayed in the main hotel building).The Breakfast was outstanding couldn’t fault it 10/10 couldn’t think of anything else you could want - catered for all tastes. Room cleaned everyday- very courteous staff. Plenty of sun-beds by the pools and on the beach The Asterias beach restaurant had a chilled atmosphere- with very attentive ,informative waiters/waitresses and great views . Will return next year .

My wife and I have now been here three times and we still look forward to returning to Doryssa Seaside Resort. And it's time to write a few words about what keeps us coming back time and time again. As soon as we arrive, we are greeted professionally and friendly by Spyros Liakakis' front desk staff. They really do their utmost to accommodate our wishes and needs. We have stayed both in the hotel and in the village, and have become particularly fond of the village. There is something unique about this part of the resort, especially for us who come from further north in Europe. The houses in bricks and stone are small, but large enough to get the feel of intimacy and coziness. They are quite close to each other without compromising privacy. Some of the good things about the Doryssa Seaside Resort is the proximity of both the sandy beach and lush lawn behind it, the pool and good restaurants at the resort. Our favorites was Koyros and Pnoe with its beautiful seafront location. The fact that it is only a 15-minute walk to charming Pythagorion, is also nice. When everything from rooms and apartments to the facility in general is kept clean and tidy, it's only top score from us. We will keep coming back.

We had a disappointing experience. The drain in the bathroom overflowed, and despite informing the staff, they did not change our room. They said maintenance would fix it, but when we returned, the floor was muddy and had not been cleaned. It was truly a disgusting sight, with unidentified water covering the entire floor. Later, a cleaner came, mopped the floor with the same dirty water, and then left. When we asked for extra towels, they reluctantly provided a second foot towel. The staff overall were rude. There were not enough staff at the beach, making it almost impossible to place an order. If you couldn't find a spot on the beach and had to sit further back, ordering anything was out of the question. The cleanliness was poor; they left a dusty vacuum cleaner outside our room, and it remained there for two days. It's impossible to imagine anything being cleaned with that vacuum. Apart from the sea, the architectural design, and the location, I do not recommend this place at all. It is shocking how poorly managed this beautiful property is. When we raised these issues with the management and receptionists, their only response was "thank you" and "sorry."

The whole Island is stunning but the Doryssa was just perfect in every way, all the staff were lovely. Pool, beach and restaurants all within easy walking distance, we stayed in the village and the pictures on TUI probably don’t do it justice of how beautiful it actually is. The local town is a 10 minute walk with loads of shops and bars/restaurants around the harbour. Locals all super friendly, they are all begging for more British as only 1 flight a week on to the Island. I’d never heard of Samos but we’ll be returning for sure.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, I’m only on day 2 but absolutely love it! Not only does it have a lovely pool and multiple restaurants to pick from the staff are lovely and friendly. The cocktails are second to none, especially when made by Gabriel in the main bar. So far, I’m super impressed for the price of the holiday!

This is our third stay here and where we had our wedding The hotel is the perfect location on the island just a short walk to Pythagorio All of the staff have helped make our special day amazing thank you From the time we booked to arriving and the day of our wedding was dealt with very professionally.we had our ceremony down at Asterius restaurant and the food presented was delicious thanks chef Giorgos ! A special thanks to Andrea on reception who is an absolute credit to the hotel she was on hand the whole time to ensure our day was a success. Poppi for looking after our booking from the start And all the team here our guest all had a wonderful stay. We will certainly be back and I’m sure a few of our guests will too.
