What a fantastic find. The owner was very helpful and the hotel is fantastic. The room was spotless. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Fantastic choice for breakfast. Can’t rate the hotel high enough. If your visiting Pitlochry stay here you will not be disappointed

Very comfortable 2-night stay in March 2025. Host Gordon and his team made us feel very welcome right from the first moment and throughout our stay. The room was clean and spacious. It was nice to get a traditional breakfast served to order, piping hot, made with fresh local produce. The location is excellent, no more than 5 minutes' walk to the restaurants, shops and amenities of Pitlochry, and also the main attractions such as the dam and fish ladder. Gordon took the trouble to point out places of interest on the map to us. All in all, we enjoyed this 'throwback' to personal service and quality, and would heartily recommend the Claymore Guest House (and indeed Pitlochry itself) to anyone.

Stayed for 2 nights in February. The Guest House is lovely, it has spacious rooms which are tastefully furnished and has a large walk in shower. The choice for breakfast was varied and the food was tasty. They have ground floor rooms. Host could not do enough for us in fact he gave us an upgraded room. Free on site parking .It is a 5 min walk into town. Would highly recommend to anyone of any age.

Stayed in apartment absolutely spotless everything you need chairs to sit outside which I did was lovely and sunny. Owner lovely chatted away, Garden at front stunning well kept Peaceful quiet at night bed massive worth a stay anybody going to Pitlochry Thanks again

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous setting. Gordon and Leanne were fabulous hosts. Never in your face but just checking that all was ok. The hotel breakfast was amazing. All locally sourced produce with a great choice and cooked to perfection. My room was great. Really comfy bed and great bedding. Just an overall great place to stay.

This is our second time staying at the Claymore in the past few months, this time for a three night New Year getaway. The Claymore is maintained to a very high standard and is ideally positioned in Pitlochry, a flat stroll of 100 yards takes you into the town centre. Rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean, as are all other areas of the guest house. A good quality breakfast, using locally sourced produce, is served in a bright and spacious conservatory room. Gordon is very welcoming and always on hand to provide local information and enquiring that everything was to our satisfaction throughout our stay. We have stayed in many guest houses in Pitlochry over the years and rate The Claymore as one of the best, based on both our recent visits.

Probably the best B&B I have ever stayed in, better than some 5 star hotels! Rooms are well appointed and very comfortable, staff are very friendly and the breakfast is simply outstanding! Very helpful discounts with local restaurants as well.

A lovely guest house, in the perfect location. Our room was spotless, large and extremely comfortable, could not ask for more. The breakfast had a good choice of yoghurt,fruits etc. The cooked breakfast was perfect, and much enjoyed, vegetarians weren't forgotten either. The hosts were wonderful, friendly and chatty. If you're looking to stay in pitlochry, go ahead and book the Claymore, you will be glad you did.

Lovely guest house right in the heart of Pitlochry and a few short steps away from cafes, restaurants, shops etc. Room was extremely spacious with four poster bed and overlooking main road. Breakfasts were excellent and plentiful and the owner was lovely offering plenty of information on the surrounding area, even providing business cards for local businesses who offered his guests a glass of wine when they dined with them. Very nice touch indeed. We loved our visit of 3 nights and would most definitely return again .
