Between Wyndham dropping my points when travel was curtailed during COVID and my daughter using a Marriott hotel for her recent wedding, I've started using Marriott as my "go to" when I want something nicer than my usual, but less expensive than a Hilton. So far, my Marriott stays have been largely disappointing. Until this one!!! Except for a couple of very minor glitches, my stay here was not only my best-ever Marriott stay, but one of my better hotel stays at not just this price point, but ever! This must be a Marriott training hotel! The people and the facility are too perfect for it to be otherwise. The check-in was handled by Deseiree, who offered advice on the accommodations. She was spot-on! If you have any questions, ask her! Another good source is Kaia, who was able to answer a later question which I had. The big thing that earned this hotel an excellent is that not only does it have the the hot tub it advertised, but it worked! Another reason for the excellent is the breakfast. This is one of the best included breakfasts I've ever had. The omelettes were especially good. Yes, this is an older hotel that's been updated and remodeled. So, there are a few rough spots here and there. A few torn spots in the corridor wallpaper and burned-out light bulbs are easy to overlook when the people are this good. The $5.00 bottle of Evian water in my room was a bit on the tacky side. And, the nightstand in my room was either uneven, or the floor in the room was uneven. The drawer kept coming slightly open. Summation: This is a must. Don't pass this one by.
