Santa Helena Beach Resort

The actual resort is good. Decent sized pools, could be abit bigger though. The actual location is not the best, its just okay. Kinda on the outskirts from the city centre. The actual beach is also not really a beach. Its pretty terrible as its not a beach with proper normal sand. Its filled with rocks. You'd imagine a resort with the name "beach" would include a better beach experience, but it is what it is. Its also next to a doctor building which can be useful for foreigners. A grocery store is not far away either. Also plenty of decent restaurants nearby. The streets are abit dirty tbh and very narrow. I'm 5'8, average height but pretty massive as a former bodybuilder so noone could pass me lmao. Too narrow for my liking. But all in all, we left pretty satisfied. Definitely room for improvement, the beach in particular and increase the pool sizes or something. Kind regards, Andreas/Andrew.

This hotel had a great location right next to the beach. We only had a few metres to walk to take a swim in the sea, and it was easy to travel to and from with public transport. We could also park our rental car in the side street. The pool area is beautiful. The employees seemed a bit overworked, but absolutely did their best. My room looked a bit worn down, but you could see that they had tried to clean it even though there were limits to what thy could do. (Yellow spots on the lampshades, bugs living under the sink in the bathroom, worn shelves with interesting brown spots). I had room 503 on the ground floor, and my friends on a higher floor did not have bugs. Even though we enjoyed our stay I would probably not book this hotel again until they renovate it. However, the location and the food in the restaurant was excellent. I also loved to see that the guests and staff put out water and food for the stray cats.
