First time in this beautiful hotel , we were blessed with the service beginning with the Level Front Desk, the manager that was always checking that everything runs perfectly, and that we were having an unforgettable experience. Lisandra, Dainelis, Heidi, Norberto, just to mention a few names that I can recall but the entire team were fabulous and they should all be recognized for their day to day effort, hard work and dedication to provide an iconic service experience. We will definitely come back soon. This team made our vacation time amazing. Thank you for welcoming us with open arms. Thank you for making sure we had a great birthday celebration and making our dreams come true!

This is our first time to the Melia Trinidad Peninsula resort, and it won't be our last! The hotel is stunning, grounds beautifully kept, the food is great and the service is excellent! We've really enjoyed the attentive and professional service of Manzano in the Daquiri cocktail bar and "Lili" every time we go to the buffet. Manzano makes the best dirty martinis and lemon daiquiri! He's a must to spend time with. While Lili has made our late nights drinking and dancing much more tolerable with her patience and kindness, always making sure our coffees are hot and filled to the brim! The beach is stunning. However, theres a lot of rocks. As everyone knows, Cuban beaches are lovely with the turquoise blue sea and white sand, but here, what you lose in sand quality, you gain in a picture-perfect view of mountains in the distance. Bring water shoes and a snorkel set if you have one because there are a number of exotic fish species by the large rocks just off the shoreline. Plus the water is fairly shallow.

Overall great value for the price we paid. We are a mid forties couple who have been to Cuba many times over the past 20 years. The food exceeded our expectations. Buffet was full of 'cook to order' beef, fish, chicken, pork, shrimp, mussels etc. Always fresh fruit and veggies and fresh eggs and bread. For coffee lovers, Jose Adrian makes the best americano in the lobby bar. Dark delicious black coffee with golden crema! However, they need to turn down the AC in the lobby bar though, dear God it was like an ice box in there sometimes and the poor staff were sick with colds. Service overall was good. Vladiy at the beach bar was excellent and so was Miguel at the Skye bar, they both provide 5* service. To be honest I had debated on an overall 4/5 for this resort but upped it to 5 because of the excellent service and drinks they provided us during our stay. As for entertainment, if you want a lot of organized activities, a theatre or nightly disco, not the place for you. Other than evening sunset with live music (which we really enjoyed) and a call to Zumba around 4:30 by the pool you wont really see or hear many entertainment staff. Which kind of added to the peaceful ambiance (especially with the spa music playing in the mornings which I quite enjoyed). It felt more like a DIY entertainment place with a volleyball net and soccer nets in between the pool and beach (and a ping pong table in a room) which we saw many families using which was nice. There was a small show most evenings in the sandy area between the buffet bar and Skye bar where the kids could get up and dance with the dancers etc. Overall a great place to just enjoy your book on a beach chair or a game of cards in the lobby. Beach: If you want long walks on a soft sand beach then not the place for you. However, it is still a beautiful beach with an absolutely gorgeous mountain view. Snorkeling was great right off the beach and they will lend you snorkeling gear for an hour at a time for free which is great. We were at the beach by 9:30am every day and had no problem getting shade and a chair which was nice. Cleanliness: Always clean room towels, beach towels, linens etc. That being said, I know others have been bragging about cleanliness but honestly was not super impressed with the main areas, particularly the floors. I think they need some additional staff in that area as often saw dried in spills. It could also be all the modern whites and light greys making it more difficult to clean? I think front desk staff, while friendly, could also provide more information on check in I.e. where to book a la cartes, info about the amenities etc. Side notes: -Was neat to take the bus into Trinidad ($5 USD return pp) for the afternoon although In hindsight I wish I had organized a walking tour to get more out of the visit -You can also visit the sauna at the spa for free Overall a great vacation! However, not entirely sure we would return, I think if we were going to endure the long bus

Modern brand new resort. Very professional staff. Excellent food. No shortages whatsoever. No power outage. Hot water 24 7. Business as usual. Excellent selection of 🍸 drinks. Daiquiri bar ( bartenders: Yosbel and Manzano ) make Excellent drinks and provide an awesome and professional service). They made me my favorite cocktail....dirty martini. Hidden gem. The beach is nice.....lightly rocky so bring water shoes. Lots of sunbeds and Cabanas. Rooms are beautiful...room service is amazing. Fridges in rooms are replenished daily. Beautiful resort overall....the staff and managers take pride in their work. Would definitely visit Melia Trinidad Peninsula again. Do not listen to negative publicity about situation in Cuba.

We are absolutely impressed by this hotel. It is BEAUTIFUL, the staff is so nice, the food is GOOD. We are having a blast and feel so welcomed here. Thank you Mélia for this great experience. We’ve been here for 2 days and have already recommended it to our friends and family. This place is a must visit for Cuba.
