Not a four star hotel. Service was extremely poor in restaurant, unable to access drinks in the restaurant during lunchtime and evening, you have to wait to be served by one of the three waiters serving the entire restaurant. Tables were often dirty and cutlery missing so you are left waiting for someone to assist you. Only one pool bar service open during the daytime to access drinks. Expect long queues unless you drink water. Good luck trying to get drunk on this holiday. Food and restaurant on evening often a repeat of what was served at lunchtime. Salad was soggy. Aircon in room leaked and found a cockroach under the lounge sofa. Asked for tea and coffee to be restocked in room as nearly impossible to access a hot drink during the daytime and told this was a privilege and only complimentary on your first night (despite paying all inclusive). Would not consider this hotel to be four star. The villas the are rundown and outdated and the service was very poor would not recommend nor would I stay at this hotel again in the future.

I stayed here with my 14yr old son for two weeks all inclusive and have returned home this week. We had a truly wonderful relaxing holiday - our first one in 6 years - and I really loved this hotel. It is set in beautiful, very well maintained grounds, with a brilliant pool complex. Firstly, our villa was great, cleaned daily and positioned in a quiet pretty 'avenue'. I booked the prestige service which meant that we had drinks in our mini bar daily, and coffee pods replenished every day. Our safe was also free. We were located in the Premium area. The wardrobe was huge. The bathroom had a walk in shower. And the bed was extremely comfortable, which makes a huge difference when staying somewhere for 2 weeks. The terrace was large and had comfortable seats and 2 loungers, plus a pull out airer to dry clothes. The aircon worked very well. At the end of our stay we were given a free late check out for our room until 6pm, including our all inclusive package. I think this may be because we booked the prestige service, which I would recommend doing. This made our last day a lovely experience. Overall the accommodation was excellent. The pools were fabulous. Only one is heated but the weather was hot and I have no problems stepping into the unheated salt water pools to cool off, and after a few seconds and shoulders under I could stay in for ages. Bring goggles! The pool area was clean and just really lovely all round. We had no problems getting 2 sun loungers together, even if we went to the pool late morning or in the afternoon. I did sometimes go to the pool around 8.30am while my son slept in and I had a good choice of where to sit. The pool area is clean and looked after well. It has plenty of cup bins for guests to put their cups and rubbish in. The grounds of the hotel are so pretty and the grounds staff are always around maintaining the plants and grass areas. They do an amazing job. All the staff I encountered were friendly and always said Olà. The buffet restaurant was good - I saw poor reviews for this before our trip so I was a bit concerned, but I found the food was always hot and the plates warm too. I dont eat meat or fish and there was always a good choice for vegetarians. I ate well. There are different choices each night, I believe on a weekly basis. It's not a Michelin restaurant but to cater for so many people I found the food entirely acceptable and enjoyed my meals. We sat outside everyday to eat and always got a seat and our drinks brought to us quickly. The only not so good thing was the coffee. But to be honest I never found a decent coffee in Playa Blanca itself, let alone the hotel! The Nespresso machine in the room was where I got a (half) decent coffee fix. The restaurant staff were lovely and constantly clearing up, restocking food and bringing drinks. They work incredibly hard. Thank you! La Nonna and La Brassiere made a nice change and it was good to have someone bring your food to you rather than you getting up to g
