Villas Puerto Rubicon

We’re half way through during our 10 day stay at the Villas Puerto Rubicon & pleased to be writing a positive review. Maybe a smooth 45 minute to an hour transfer from the airport to the complex led to to a welcoming arrival to the Villa. We were booked in to Villa 212 which is a 3 bedroom (two twins & a double with en-suite). If I’m honest our 2 floor villa is a tad tired & could do with a little TLC here & there, (paintwork, towel rails etc), however the place is absolutely SPOTLESSLY clean, the kitchen is well equipped with I think everything one could possibly need along with hairdryers in both bathrooms, iron & ironing board, a safe with key provided free of charge, Wi-Fi is good, good sized towels for sun beds are provided, however the pool isn’t heated & for me unfortunately constantly cold, also the three steps leading into the pool are quite high & I dare say the elderly & those that struggle with their knees & legs etc may find that a struggle. Wardrobe space is generous but not long enough for dresses, we had to hang these from the doors. An approx 15 minute walk will lead you to the first bar we daily visited in the evening (Lanis) which is wonderful, on the marina with very attentive staff providing free snacks (crisps & nuts etc) with drinks, food is great & we a couple join us last night for an evening meal with starters & drinks & with a tip came to just under €180. In the villa we can hear the “neighbours” with their toddler but in the main it’s lovely & quite although we were apprehensive when we were told by Jet2 that there’s building excavation work going on 100m away, but we have been placed I think extremely far away from it & to be honest can’t hear it, will we stay again, most certainly, I thinks it’s a lovely villa, just needs updating - slightly but I can live with what’s been provided. 4½ stars out of 5 for me ⭐️

Just back from a perfect week. Villa was lovely, we had a 3 bed and was more than enough for us as a family of 4. Pool was great to cool down. Don't leave any food out anywhere tho as little bugs just appeared out of nowhere. We stored everything in the fridge. Location was within 5 min walk of the marina. We got a taxi into Playa Blanca a few times then walked back along the sea front. Playa Dorana beach is about a 10/15 min walk, only beach with sunbeds etc Ate at the restaurants in the marina in the evenings, lovely setting but book a table if you want to sit after about 7.30, they got busy!! Cocktails and ice creams at Lani's were delicious

We have just returned from a few days stay and we really liked the villas. We booked a 2 bedroom villa but we we actually had a 3 bedroom villa, set over 2 floors. It was really spacious and had everything we needed. It was really quiet when sitting by the pool but the location was great, just a couple of minutes walk to the rubicon marina with its restaurants, shops etc and about 20 minute walk into the centre of playa Blanca. We had an evening flight and instead of the usual check out time of 10am we were allowed to keep the villa until 1pm which was really helpful and much appreciated. There is also a courtesy room where you can leave your bags, get changed etc. We would definitely stay here again.

The best thing about the villa that we had ( no. 23) was the location - great for the marina, very quiet area, parking close by, essential shops close by. Plenty of space for 5 adults - however overall we were disappointed in the standard of furnishings - basic and dated and I would have to say the settees inside were not the cleanest. The villa has all the essentials for self catering, inc a washer - however again dated and definitely seen better days. Hygiene standards could also have been slightly better, to be honest. The pool is not heated (but that's fine) however again has seen better days. That said we didn't stay in all the time, preferred to be out and about and the location is great for that. There are better, more comfortable villas and for that reason we wouldn't be returning.

Just returned from Villa 224 and wanted to write an honest review. We arrived around 9pm and used the lock box to access the villa..we were amazed at how big the villa was - yes it is a tiny bit dated but still perfect for what you need and very spacious. Villa 224 is a Large villa, fantastic outside space with the sun from morning to night. Very secure and secluded, also very quiet. Tip: use the white door as your main door to the villa, much easier to open. Living area was large, tv - we could only find sky news or BBC news in English but not on holiday to watch tv. Roof fan was great. Open patio doors onto pool area, was great in the morning opening the curtains. Well equipped kitchen, dishwasher with tablets provided, full cooker, large fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle. Cleaning spray, cloth, bug spray and washing up liquid provided. The washing machine is out the back door under cover - unfortunately we had no washing product supplied so we had to buy some from hyperdino (left 1/2 box for next person). Welcome pack consitsted of UHT milk, carton of juice, pack of biscuits and a few tea bags/coffee sachet. Small WC/shower downstairs which is good. Upstairs 2 large bedrooms - both ensuite with bath and over bath showers. Main room has a balcony with amazing views, watching the sunrise with breakfast or sunset with dinner was amazing! Beds are ok - not the best but also not the worst. Very light and airy villa. Outside area was adequate, 2 longers and a small table/chairs..the pool was ok size however, it was very, very cold and dirty..a lot of dirt/sand at the bottom when we arrived that got worse over our stay - no one came to clean it and we done our best with the net to clean it. Location of the villa is a few min walk from hyperdino and marina. Marina has a few shops and restaurants. The lasal shops are around 5min walk away with the main shops being around 30min fast walk along promenade (we were doing 15k steps a day). The area is quiet which makes for a relaxing holiday. our only downside was no washing products, and no cleaners which meant no clean towels (we had to wash the two provided and dry them) and no toilet paper which we had to buy. We did noticed on arrival the floor could of been cleaner (stairs dusty, dirty shower heads) We didn't have cleaners the whole time we were there which I felt was a bit of a let down, I don't go on holiday to clean toilets/towels or buy cleaning products. The only time we seen cleaners was on leaving (to be out be 10am on day of departure) the cleaners were sat outside from 09.30am which made us feel pressured to leave earlier. There is a courtesy room available for day you are leaving (it's down near the marina). All in all we did have a good holiday and may return in future. Our one big issue was ants..thousands, upon thousands! The kitchen was covered with ants all the time, very small ants - no matter how many times i cleaned the surfaces there would be another 100 in seconds

Just finished a wonderful week at these villas. The villa was spotless and much larger than expected. It was very private with a lovely area to chill on the sunloungers or find shade under the retractable awning. Whilst the pool was cold to get in, it was lovely and refreshing on a hot day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with the hot water tank and a maintenance man was round within 5 mins and it fixed within an hour. Couldn't ask for more. There is a secure room to leave luggage on the day of departure. The villas are very close to a supermarket and just 5 mins from the marina. I am sure we will return.
