Hotel Mirador Papagayo by LIVVO

It was our first holiday in Lanzarote and we were pleased with the hotel: it is located in a quiet and pleasant area, close to the best beaches (Playa de Papagayo, for example). The room was always spotlessly clean and tidy. The restaurant had a lot of variety (both breakfast and dinner) with delicious food (but lunch could have had more variety). The all-inclusive snacks, however, fell far short (they should have had more quality and variety). The cocktails were magnificent! We must highlight the excellent service of the restaurant/bar staff, who were always attentive and friendly: the head waiters were always helpful, the waiters were always efficient (Diogo, a very nice Portuguese boy) and a special thanks to Emanuel, Daniel and the dark-haired boy who I can no longer remember the name of at the bar, who were always very kind, excellent professionals and proactive (a big OBRIGADO () to them for contributing to a wonderful holiday). The negative point of our stay was a situation regarding the tennis court where, having already paid for 2 sessions (2 hours of tennis), the reception staff demanded that we pay for a 3rd session (due to a lack of communication between them), claiming that we hadn't paid for one of the days. It was embarrassing as the tall, slim, blonde receptionist claimed we were liars. Fortunately, the situation was resolved at the end of the stay and we were refunded the amount due. The spa should be free to enter. The entertainment was good and inclusive. Overall it was a good experience.

This was our third stay at this hotel and it won’t be our last. It’s extremely clean, staff are friendly and helpful, the views from the junior suite are to die for and love the location. When we last stayed we requested the same room and got one next door which was actually better! Returned to the spa again which was peaceful and tranquil. All staff in the restaurant and pool bar were excellent, as were the reception staff. Many thanks to the young lady who assisted us when Jon had a fall. Always got a sunbed when we wanted one. Loved seeing fluffy the cat again. The food was always plentiful, although at lunch it would be a good idea to have cheese & ham in the restaurant to make a roll or have with salad. Just a personal preference. Did not experience the evening entertainment on any stay so cannot comment. Did have a few evenings out just as personal choice and pre booked taxis with reception. There is something incredibly relaxing about this hotel which offers excellent value for money. We can’t come back next year but really hope to see you in 2026. Donna & Jon Ray

I stayed at the Mirador Papagayo Hotel for the last 2 weeks in August with my 2 teenagers, we had a double, front sea view room. The view from the room was amazing and the room was very clean, the bath did look dated and a little rusty on the side. The bathroom did not have an extractor fan or a window so after 3 people showering the room did become very hot. The hotel grounds were well maintained, each morning the floor was cleaned around the pool and the pool was cleaned. We never had a problem with getting a sun lounger, even after a trip to the market. It would have been nice to have a little table next to the lounger but these were not provided. You could not have balls in the pool but water guns were allowed which I didn't understand as they did get annoying. We joined in most of the activates around the pool. We were disappointed one day as my 13 year old was told she could not join in the darts because she was too young (even though I had paid an adults price for her and she was too old for the kids club). On a separate occasion I signed a disclaimer to allow her to play archery. Once again Pinky (the male entertainer) told her she could not join in, even though she had already played archery twice before, after signing the disclaimer. Sadly Pinky really did let the entertainment team down. He showed no enthusiasm and a clear dislike of children. We spoke to other people around the pool who felt the same. When doing the mini disco he just looked like he did not want to be there. On a massive contrast was Vanesa, she had such a zest for her job and brought such energy! She put her heart and sole into everything that she did and really made our holiday. We loved the yoga and her dance class! The outdoor evening entertainment was defiantly better than having it inside. When I asked Pinky why the entertainer wasn't outside more often, he told me that it was too much work for them! On the whole we enjoyed the food, my daughter is a fussy eater and did struggle to find something she liked on a couple of occasions. All the staff at the hotel were so helpful, it was just a shame about the one member who did spoil the vibe at times. I would defiantly recommend this hotel but maybe less so if you have a fussy eater.

A lovely family resort. Kids club staff were fantastic with sessions from 11-12.45 and 15.00 - 16.45. Hotel was immaculate with regular maid services keeping the room clean. Air con worked perfectly. If you have a limited British pallate you might find the food choices a bit samey but we really enjoyed some of the variety. The oriental themed night was very good with some delicious sushi on offer. We were half board but the drinks prices were more than reasonable (4,20 euro for a pint and 6 euro for a cocktail). There's a little centre 5 minute walk away with a few restaurants. The main area of Playa Blanca is about 25 minutes walk away and there is plenty more. The hotel run a shuttle around 10 and 12 with a return at 16.30. Other highlights for us were the kids mini disco each evening and the family foam/pool party which runs once a week. All in all, fantastic value for money and a lovely family holiday!

Stayed here in 2023 and the main thing letting it down was the food. Came back in June 2024 and the food had definitely improved. It is still lacking for vegetarians, but the overall quality is better. The hotel is still spotlessly clean and the rooms are massive. I stayed solo in a side view room and the hotel honoured my request for the same room as I had previously. This side of the hotel gets amazing afternoon/evening sun. The only downside to the room, is the very poor air-conditioning. The area around the hotel is very safe solo and you can do lots of exploring if you like walking. The bus is at the end of the road and does a loop to Playa Blanca. I just wish the gym opened at 6-7am, it opens far too late if you are a gym goer. Would definitely return if the price was right.
