Coral Suites & Spa - Adults Only

Terrible food, no smoking ( except at front of hotel) no atmosphere on the day time. Building work going on. Rooms where basic would not be going again. It was a good job the weather was good because that would have capped off a poor experience….

This hotel is marked as a 4-4,5 star hotel. This is absolutely not correct… 3 stars. Construction was ongoing to an extent that the pool area was unusable… The hotel clearly needs a renovation. Breakfast was nice We can not recommend the hotel and would not come back

This is our 3rd time to stay at this hotel and there are reasons we keep coming back to Playa de las Americas and when we do we stay at the Sunprime Coral Suites and Spa. The hotel is kept extremely well and clean. You can’t find any faults as far as cleanliness goes. Rooms are cleaned daily and towels are changed every day. The rooms that we have stayed in are very spacious and have a great shower / toilet. The swimming pool is plenty big with plenty of sun beds. There is a bar just off the pool area as well as the restaurant. There is also a large comfortable bar area off reception which open at 18.00hrs in the evening. They have a small shop at reception and prices are very reasonable for the likes of water, minerals etc. We always stay on a B&B basic and the choices for breakfast are brilliant, we also had lunch on a couple of occasions and you can’t fault the food or the staff as they keep the area extremely clean and tidy. The hotel is currently having work done and to be honest it hasn’t bothered us as the noise of the ongoing work is drowned out by music playing. There is no building work on a Sunday. The work when complete will improve the hotel immensely going forward. Location wise it’s an easy walk to the beach with miles and miles of a promenade to stroll along with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars. There is a self service launderette across the road from the hotel with 4 industrial washing machines costing €5 a load and 2 dryers at €4 a load. We only used the washer and dried the clothes on our balcony as there is a drying rack fixed to the wall. There is also a great selection of restaurants and bars close to the hotel, and the area feels very safe to walk around. The hotel is adults only if that’s the kind of hotel you are looking for and again you can’t fault with anything about this hotel.

Extremely disappointed as I had high expectations upon arrival to realise the rooftop terrace was under construction my entire stay so limited to only the main pool & seating which had no entertainment apart from the same playlist on repeat daily which contained 10 songs so quite unbearable after 15 days. Throughout our stay we noticed everyone under 25 was pushed to the back of the hotel with no views, horrible smell from the area & very noisy from other residents facing the hotel also multiple times we had an issue with cockroaches in our room & when mentioning to staff at reception we wore laughed at then giving a bottle of bug spray to fix the problem ourselves which is shocking service & extremely unhygienic. Construction carried on through our stay with no warning from hotel staff or apologies for the inconvenience as the noise was very irritating & would expect better service as it’s supposedly four star so very unprofessional. Checkout is for 12:00pm so when getting ready to leave the hotel reception rang multiple times questioning why we haven’t left the room, cleaners knocked constantly all before our giving time & exactly at 12:00pm we had a member of staff from reception knock to our room claiming if we did not leave we would have to pay €50 for later checkout which was disgraceful behaviour after being rushed beforehand. Once leaving the room we were then followed to reception by the same member of staff to then be questioned about our hotel keys as if we didn’t leave them in the same room she rushed us out of before our checkout time & to add to the inconvenience we couldn’t even walk out the front door as there was a crane lifting materials onto the building site of a rooftop terrace so most certainly would not recommend this messy hotel that’s trying to pass as four star accommodation.

Overall a good experience. The room was lovely and cleaned daily and we had a distant view of the sea. We were looking onto private flats one of which seemed to be a party house so it was really noisy. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault but I needed ear plugs. The breakfast was fantastic with loads of choice and plenty of room. My only real criticism was the luggage room. We had a late flight so checked out as late as we could. We were given a key card for a communal luggage room down in the basement. It was a free for all with no security so anyone could have taken your luggage ( I am sure that wouldn’t happen but you never know). It would have been good to store it in a controlled reception area. The other issue we had was trying to gain access to the luggage room. 6 couples congregated near to pick up time and none of us could get access to the room. It was a fiasco trying to get another key card to allow us access. I probably wouldn’t go back given the choice in Tenerife but I wouldn’t say it was a bad hotel. It definitely had plus points namely a lovely room, clean, great breakfast, friendly staff and location.

We have never stayed in such a noisy hotel. We are woken up every morning by delivery drivers and bin trucks, also building work going on . Can't get round the small pool unless you are up before god ! Also if you put a do not disturb sign on your door more than twice, there leave a note saying they will enter anyway !! Avoid this hotel if you want a relaxing break..you will need hear plugs to sit on the balcony. You need to raise your voice to speak to each other. We are so tired now. Can't wait to get home what a waste of money ..so if you are offered rooms 204 to 209 on either floor, I suggest you refuse it !! We are in 208 this hotel is adults only so thought we would have a peacrful, relaxing break after working very hard at home. Not a chance. Cleaner's also make so much noise with the slamming of doors & shouting very early.. so avoid if you want a nice relaxing holiday!! What a waste of money will never stay here again!!

Having read mixed reviews and some complaints about the hotel before we came we were a little reluctant. However we have had a fantastic experience. The rooms are spotless clean, the staff are all friendly and helpful and although we were warned about the work being carried out on the roof we didn't hear any noise. On an evening we did hear people coming back in the early hours but it was nothing that kept us awake. We would definitely return. It's a great location and the pool area is easily assessable with no fights for sunbeds as the reviews said. Breakfast was lovely and there is a good choice. No complaints from us!

Coral suits and spa was in a good location and rooms was nice a couple things wrong for example the safe was not working and the bedding was not changed but the main problem was the staff are very rood especially the staff in the restaurant. My parter and I was getting some breakfast and my girlfriend was tapped on her shoulder and told to get a top on as she was wearing a cropped top no manners when she was asked felt more like an order we ended up not eating breakfast as we both felt very uncomfortable we won’t be coming back here next time for sure very rude staff

Great rooms but service needs a review. Reception staff are great and helpful, quick check-in and good information provided. Rooms are clean and modern, the housekeeping staff are top quality and of a very high standard. The construction work that is ongoing disturbed us on two mornings. It started at 8:15. We reported to reception the second time and they advised this is not acceptable. I'd advise asking for a room o. The other side of the hotel. We also felt we could not use our balcony due to the constant smell of hash. The pool area is nice with no sunbeds wars. If you need a sunbed just say it to the staff and they will sort one for you. The pool bar staff are friendly but the drinks are very substandard compared to pay as you go guests. Smaller glasses with less quality drinks products. The lobby bar is great with better quality drinks but only opens from after 6 or so. The food is a decent quality. It's not bad and not excellent. We were all inclusive. We arrived for dinner at half 8, had our starter and main course and at 21:03 went for our dessert to find that all desserts had been cleared. I would have expected that all starters and mains would be cleared first. So no dessert. Staff were uninterested. One afternoon we returned to our room to find to staff in the room. These were maintenance staff, we had not reported and issues or been informed of any maintenance issues. Reception advised that sometimes housekeeping report issues but it was u comfortable to find two men in our room on return with no explanation. I assume if anything was missing the hotel would not be liable. Reception did not seem bothered. The snacks available consist of stale sandwiches and some pasties. No ice cream outside of meal times. Very poor for all inclusive. Another issue we continuously have is the smell of hash on our balcony. Every day it's very bad. Overall we have another few days here, but have a very mixed review to be fair. Don't bother with all inclusive, sub standard drinks and average food. The rooms are very clean and modern. Overall we enjoyed our stay I've given 3 stars for the reasons outlined above.
