Mediterranean Palace

It's been 15 years since my last trip to Tenerife and the comments below are based on international five star hotel experiences around the globe. So here's what I experienced on this reservation:- Positives 1.Check in / out process fast and professional. 2.Direct beach access via the pool area. 3.Breakfast buffet with internal and external seating choices was excellent. 4.Evening entertainment between 21:00 and 23:00 Hrs was good. Negatives 1. Allocated R3101 upon arrival and entered to find the bath tub was extremely dirty and required solvent cleaning to remove large accumulation of water scale dirt around plug area (Approx 200mm in dia). Root cause of this problem is a leakage from the shower hose connection which remains to be fixed. 2. TV was on and could not be turned off. This was rectified by Maintenace changing the batteries within the remote control. 3. Sink plunger mechanism was broken and I was shown how to remove the plug on a daily basis once housekeeping cleaned the room. 4. Locking mechanism on the balcony sliding door is broken and extremely hard to open / closed. 5. Only one, yes one pool towel provided / guest at the pool via a plastic card that you are required to exchange at the pool towel bar. If you forget this card it's a return trip to the room. General Travel Tips. 1. Taxi from TFS Airport to hotel cost 25 Euro each way. 2. Hard Rock Cafe located next door (£££). 3. Great Italian, Thai, Japanese and British restaurants located on the second floor off the shopping complex across the road from the hotel (££££)

Short 3 night stay. Excellent location and hotel facilities. Staff very attentive and friendly with a special mention for Jenya.

Самое отличное в отеле -это его месторасположение и сотрудники , всегда готовые прийти на помощь. Ну и конечно Завтраки супер . Пляж муницыпальный в 1 минуте ходьбы , каждое утро частят. Шезлонги 6 евро один , от зонтиков пользы ноль , если только сумку повесить . Сам же отель даже на 4 звезды не тянет . Может лет 20 назад и был 5 , но не сейчас. Но хорошая новость, в январе 2023 г закрывается на ремонт , можно надеяться вернуться в обновлённый отель.

Came for my first all inclusive holiday loved a lot of it. They even brought a birthday cake to my room on the morning of my birthday when I was hanging. Would be good if the pool was open till later outside but nothing major. Had great service. Good food, good vouchers for restaurants. Great service from the receptionist Jenya who we had a few great chats with. Fast taxi service they provide and a beautiful view of the hotel was a great time

Had a wonderful stay here, no issues whatsoever. Can't beat the location, staff all very friendly and our room was immaculate with comfortable bed and fantastic shower. We had no issues with the food, it was mostly cooked fresh in front of us. The only small gripe would be paying for water with evening meal, the water machines are free of charge at breakfast but 3.6 euros for as bottle with evening meal. We would 100% return and are already looking to book for next year.

I was nervous about this holiday after reading some many mixed reviews, however my experience here has been 10/10. I travelled with alone with my 5 year, we arrived late and check out was speedy and very friendly, our room was immaculate, almost felt like we were the first ones using it, only one things I noticed was that the coffee wasn’t replenished on cleaning days (but wasn’t a problem as I got sachets from the breakfast) and the cups weren’t swapped out for fresh ones, house keeping came every day and again were super friendly. We came bed and breakfast only and couldn’t fault breakfast, it had everything to offer, including very much needed cocopops for my son, the busier times were between 9/10am but I didn’t find it chaotic nor was there any queues for the facilities, staff really friendly and I felt comfortable leaving my son whilst I got my own breakfast. The pool area is immaculate too! I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get loungers by not being able to reserved them early as I couldn’t leave my room early, however there were ample amount of beds, never struggled! I would like to suggest for music to be played around the pool and not just when entertainment was on, floaties weren’t allowed in the big pool but we didn’t find it much of a problem as we were able to have them in the smaller pool. The kids club! Wow! 5 stars right there! I’ve never used a kids club but this one is just top tier, the facilities the staff super super impressive, they would call me if they needed anything (swim shorts etc). The mini disco on an evening needs a little more work, I think it’s because I use to tui blue entertainment but here it’s just 30 minutes of the same songs each night, however we would stay in the outdoor bar area till 10/11pm as the vibe was lovely and lots of space for my son to play. I have loved out stayed and would definitely recommend and revisit.

We’ve just finished 7 nights here and what a place. Recently renovated to a 5 star hotel and it hasn’t disappointed and let me explain why. Let’s start off with staff as they make or break hotels. All the staff here have been welcoming caring and polite. From the reception staff to the cleaners, bar staff kitchen staff and entertainment staff. All have been polite and friendly and professional and have helped with anything we have needed. Rooms - modern updated room with air conditioning and walk in shower. Room size is a good space and is cleaned regularly on a daily basis by the cleaning staff who also replace towels etc. Door is very thin though so you can hear everything in the corridor but I’m not complaining over it don’t worry. Food - we only experience bed and breakfast however each day there was a number of different options to choose from which is fantastic. Make sure you get in before 8:30 as it gets busy around 9:00am . Lovely pool with entertainment throughout the day to keep you entertained and busy. Also a gym on site but can’t say I used it this week. Location - fantastic locations surrounded by bars and restaurants and the beach is a 2 minute walk away, we also had a balcony view of the golden mile and the mountains . Overall - All I can say is what a fantastic week it’s been made to feel welcome and I would highly recommend the hotel for anyone looking to head over to Tenerife. I will definitely be back in the future

Overall a lovely hotel but sadly food let it down for us. Hotel was recently refurbished and was lovely and very clean. The room was lovely very comfy bed etc and towels changed every day. Pool area lovely and sunbeds ok to get after an early breakfast. Was told by receptionist that during school holidays it was a nightmare to get sunbeds. Pool towels provided every day. Food at pool bar nice. Reasonably priced drinks. Food in main restaurant The Pier was however was very disappointing. We stayed on a half board basis and had to eat out 4 of the 6 nights due to limited choice. We are vegetarians and there was a very limited choice for us. Also thought poor / limited selection generally on salad and fruit and alot of fruit was from a tin. Price to upgrade to all inclusive was quoted as £360 Per person and we very pleased we did not go for this option.

Was a family of 4 had a lovely holiday, our 9 year old granddaughter loved the new kids club, was surprised how lovely it all looked, compared to the old kids club we have stayed at all of the 3 hotels with this group. and love the new rooms, looking previously at photos of the new Wardrobe/draws, thought we might be a little short of space, but had plenty of room, and was able to pick out my clothes at a glance, instead of sliding doors. had a issue with the shower, leaking onto the floor, ( reported to reception, and it was all sorted within the hour, Large beds still, and pillows comfy, air con, very good All staff, as friendly, helpful, as usual, so no change here. Would have liked the shop and indoor bar to have been opened to have a break, from around the pool, would have been nice to have had, albeit, a temporary set up to sit out of the sun for a while, but looking forward to this on our next visit
