B&B Plitvica Lodge

The greatest advantage of the lodge is the short five minute walk to Entrance 3. there is also a walk back along the road that provides some superb views of the large waterfall from above. Entrance 3 allows you to avoid the big queues and the crowding at the other entrances. It also provides options - either the exploring the lower falls or taking the boat up to entrance 2 or even walking around the edge of the lake. The lodge itself is perfectly fine. There is a warm welcome and the atmosphere in the evenings is really fun and convivial. The food is very good; the breakfast has a good selection and the evening meals are rustic fare with two (meat or fish) options that were very tasty. The WiFi is flakey and the rooms are serviceable (although they do have a decent sized balcony) It is expensive for what it is. The breakfast is not included, must be paid in cash. Likewise for the evening meals.

We just came across this by chance as we were walking past and the owner encouraged us to come for dinner so we did. We did not retreat it!! WOW is you want a true home cooked and authentic Croatian meal this is a must. The owner’s hospitality is very welcoming and the meal is very generous. It is a set menu of either mixed grill or fish. We had the mixed grill and it was beautiful. The appetiser first was grilled bread, cheese and salami from the local regions was amazing! Dessert was a beautiful cherry cake. Was a great treat and while it might like look like a fancy restaurant it was one of our best meals on our 5 week trip around Europe.

We have just come back from a lovely short break in Croatia, and stayed at the lakes in Plitvica, which was beautiful. Nearby where we stayed was Plitvica lodge, and the reason for my review is the fact that the owners kept a very large dog, which I think was a Husky - cross in a small cage outside. During our stay the temperature was approx 38 - 40 degrees, and we found it very upsetting to see this lovely dog caged all day long

He goes out of his way to make your stay special His home made schnapps is excellent The wine and food were first class and reasonably priced Overall an excellent experience and we would definitely stay there again

Deze lodge past perfect in de omgeving. Wij hadden de lodge op de bovenverdieping met een riant terras. Het was knus en precies goed! De barbecue was ook erg gezellig en goed verzorgd. Daarnaast ligt het direct bij een ingang van het park. Een dikke aanrader!

Sappiate che non è adatto alle famiglie (anche numerose) poiché non hanno letti aggiuntivi ma solo un matrimoniale per camera. Finché hai un bambino piccolo si può fare ma dopo diventa scomodo. Non è chiaramente un 4 stelle, ma ha un bel mini frigo che è molto utile per chi rimane 2/3 giorni. Ha una doccia fantastica e moderna, un phon potente. termosifoni e pompa di calore con condizionatore (perfetto) e il letto è molto comodo. Armadio molto grande, televisione (non l'abbiamo usata), asciugamani e bagnoschiuma e shampoo inclusi. Non viene offerta acqua in camera e non viene rifatta la camera. Unica pecca del luogo, chiaramente devi mangiare lì perché non c'è nulla nel raggio di un'ora di auto, solo un piccolo villaggio con un piccolo market. Il titolare con sua figlia sono molto gentili e alla sera quando siamo arrivati alle 19:30 ci hanno subito avvisato che la cena terminava alle 20.30, così abbiamo scaricato i bagagli e abbiamo scelto due grigliate di carne, insalatina. riso bollito con verdure, anche mio figlio di 4 anni ha gradito molto i famosi cevapcici (scusate se lo scrivo male) e la carne era fresca e morbida, pollo fenomenale davvero e anche il maiale. Il titolare è stato gentile, ci ha versato un paio di volte un distillato una specie di grappa che usa molto bere anche in Slovenia. Lo abbiamo trovato però caro perché con una bottiglia di acqua abbiamo speso 75€. Avevo letto che la colazione costava 15€ a testa per cui noi abbiamo optato per fare colazione in camera da soli.
