1. Experienced Electricity Outage 3 Hrs 2. Internet Telephone and A/C not working 3. Segment of Property Grounds full dark 4. Security Gates left Open 5. Not able to get to bed as a result before early morning flight 6. Front Reception Staff Not Helpful or accommodating change of room with electricity functionality. 7. GM clearly has not gained a handle on managing this property and resolving technical issue before accepting guests 8. Recommend not to stay at this property

The hotel had just reopened following a complete renovation. We received a complimentary upgrade on check-in which was a nice surprise. Everything about the hotel was special….our room with its own terrace, restaurant, bar/outdoor terrace. The pool area was beautiful! The decor throughout the hotel was stunning. First-class customer service throughout the hotel. The management and staff were so lovely, knowledgeable, attentive and just made you feel so welcome. It would be impossible to name them all! During our 6 night stay we ate several times in the restaurant all of which we really enjoyed. We enjoyed also our drinks at the bar, terrace and pool during our stay,. The hotel is walking distance or a short tuk tuk ride from Polignano a Mare. We also found it easy to visit the wider Puglia area from there by train. As we had an evening flight they kindly gave us a late check out which we really appreciated as it gave us extra time to enjoy the pool and other facilities. An unforgettable stay in a truly special hote!. We look forward to returning to Hotel Calaponte next year and would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for a week at the end of May The staff are friendly the hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are adequate and they are situated near the fabulous swimming pool which when we stayed was quiet with plenty of space. Breakfast is good with an ample selection of continental style breakfast and fresh fruit. NEGATIVES The price of a bottle of beer was 8 euros, which, by even today's standards is too much, especially if you're resident for a week. Special mention. To the reception staff and to Roberto who couldn't have done more to make our stay comfortable and arranged things without favour. Location is by the Marina and if staying for a week a car is essential.
