Souli Beach Hotel

A lovely hotel, in a fantastic location. The place is very clean, and the staff were friendly and polite. The location sells this hotel, right next to the beach, now yes it its pebbled and shingle, so a good pair of beach shoes required, but it's just perfect really, and the sea is so gentle, not deep with a light current and you never get tired of the sound of the waves, has a nice breeze too which is very welcoming in july/august. We had a roadside room, which was fine really, traffic at worktime hours and jeep safaris going out, and was busy at weekend evenings when locals came into town, but nothing to hectic. you'll need to budget for the fridge and A/C especially in high summer. The pool area is nice, enough beds, but we moved ours to near the beach and used the palm trees as shade. The bar is extremely reasonable for drinks and snacks, serves local and market brand drinks. The restaurant has very good food, plenty to offer and reasonably priced, plus the staff were superb and get the right table when the sun is going down, it certainly sets the mood, ate here a few times. Breakfast was ok, plenty of fruit, yoghurt, honey and the usual fried fair, admittedly not what us brits are used to, but again I had everyday and did us just fine. To get into town, it's just an easy 10 mins walk to the marina where most of the shops/eateries are. We were there for 2 weeks and had plenty of choice to eat, went back to a few restaurants than once. All in all a great hotel, extremely reasonable on the price, it's quiet, clean, a beautiful location, very happy with our time there that we have booked again for this July 2025

The hotel was spotless as was our room. We had a sea view which consisted of a decent sized balcony. The breakfast times are very good and cover a 3 hour period. We indulged in the 3 course evening meals at a very good cost of 22 euros each. The meals were absolutely amazing, huge portions and lovely and fresh. All the staff at the hotel were very pleasant, polite and helpful. We stayed a week, we needed to recharge our batteries and relax. We certainly did that. Due to the location, it is very quiet with not a lot to do without hiring a car, so a week was enough. It depends on what you want.

We stayed at Souli Beach Hotel, arrived sat 12th of October for 10 nights. Hotel was lovely, very clean, room cleaned daily with fresh towels. Breakfast was ample with a good selection. Enough sunbeds, right next to the sea. Was in room 218 which had a side sea view but also looked over the mountains. Harbour was a 20 minute walk with a great selection of varied restaurants. Would definitely return

We have just returned from the Souli Beach Hotel which is situated right on a very, very stoney beach, impossible to walk comfortably on, or go in the sea without beach shoes. The hotel is also situated right next to a very busy main road, so having a room overlooking the front of the hotel, bring ear plugs as morning rush hour traffic extremely noisy. Sea view rooms at the back of the hotel are very nice, but do not get any sun at anytime of the day. Rooms are very dated needing repair and update, someone said it's the same decor and bathroom tiles from when the hotel opened in 1960. We had a 3rd bed in our room which made moving around a tight squeeze. But on the up side the shower is good. The tv in the room only has 1 channel in English and programmes are hit and miss, no news channel, everything in Greek. There is nowhere on the balcony to dry towels, swim suites and the like, an air dryer would be nice to have. Rooms on pool side due to lack of sun find drying anything takes a while. We were disappointed that there was no lounge area with comfortable chairs and sofas where it would have been nice to sit and have a drink, there is a table, a two seater setter and a few plastic chairs, in fact a lot of plastic chairs everywhere. The pool is clean, plenty of sun lounger by the pool and on the lawns. The lawn area and gardens are lovely but A bit of landscaping wouldn't go amiss. Path ways on to the lawn would be nice as there are areas where the grass is very boggy, I lost my flip flop, and for an older person unsteady on their pins as the ground is uneven. Beware of the sprinklers that turn on between 3pm and 4pm. We ate twice in the resteraunt and that was enough. There are 2 wonderful resteraunt one next door The Peryiali Beach, the other a little further down Yialos resteraunt their food was excellent and Souli could take a lesson or two from them. Breakfast was plentiful but same old same old, a change would be nice. Can not fault the staff and service, very polite and helpful Just one word about the ladies and man who cleaned our room FANTASTIC. Souli Beach is suited more for adults, not much for children, not a child insight while we were there, the average age is 50 plus. Souli Beach with a little imagination, effort and of course money could be a really fantastic small family run hotel, with style and comfort, but it appears to rely on repeat clients and coach tours for lunches, and we feel it's getting a bit complacent about its upkeep, and appearance. We talked with other guests who also felt the same as we did. So as a first timer here, unfortunately we will not be returning unless a lot of improvements are made.

Lovely hotel and worth paying for a sea view where we watched great sunsets and sunrises. Rooms cleaned regularly with lots of toiletries. Breakfast had a reasonable selection of hot and cold. Staff at hotel brilliant when I fell getting us taxis to hospital! Great sunsets sat by pool.

A beautiful location but it didn't feel as if guests' needs were a priority. No beach towels available; a kettle, two mugs and one tea spoon provided in the room but no tea/coffee sachets etc are supplied, first time I've come across that. Worst of all was that the lawn sprinklers were turned on long before guests had left the sun loungers. Our loungers were slightly downhill of the sprinklers and when we got up we found we were in an inch of sludge and smelly water that had pooled around us. Add in small things like stale breakfast croissants, only finding out you need a safekey when you get to your room etc. and we ended up feeling that with a bit of thought and care it could be so much better.
