Cabot Hobby Club Apartments

Be aware that there is large scale construction underway on the South side of the complex and they start work at 07:30am. The sound of diggers, earth movers and drilling was making the patio glass shake. We reached out to Cabot, but they weren't interested.

Another great stay at Hobby Club, lovely clean apartment and wonderful staff, makes for a lovely holiday. Good location for restaurants and cycling……………………………………………………………………………………………..,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Overall an acceptable accommodation and we had a pleasant stay. Positives- *Location is excellent- nice walk into the centre * Beach over the road *lovely pool *kitchenette well equipped *friendly staff *swim up pool was nice addition to our stay Negatives - *our room was dusty and lots of dirt on the floor, seemed like it had been closed up for a while and not cleaned before our arrival. *air con made room feel damp *bathroom door didn’t close *shower flooded and tray needed replacing as was stained *sofa covers need washing as was also stained *building work going on next door which we wasn’t notified about

Overall this is a very nice aparthotel . The plus points- clean, quiet, comfortable . Loved our rooftop terrace . Apartment serviced every other day which was fine . Bikes for hire at reception . Pool area is lovely with lifeguard on duty . Straight across the road to the beach . Supermarket next door . Negatives - it is a good 20 min walk to the main hub - it is a flat walk . There is a charge for the safe - which is a little bit of bleeding the customer dry . Alongside this for a slightly later checkout - which was possible- a charge of 50€- even for an hour ! The apartment looked out in a building site with work starting after 7- however when on the rooftop it was not really a problem . If anyone were booking a swim up room - there is a corner one which basically does not get any sun - the one beside it a little only . Worth being careful booking that if sun a priority.

The roof terrace is nice but often can’t be used because of the wind ( not hotels fault!) However I feel the rest of the experience is disappointing, with apartments more basic in reality than in the photos. For example, shower tray is well worn, rooms are only serviced every second day. I feel they are charging too much for what is on offer. That said, staff are all very friendly.

We stayed here for 2 weeks late August. As a whole everything was fine and we enjoyed our stay. All staff friendly, accommodating and hard working. The majority of the reviews are accurate. Cleaners were in every 2 days as far as I could tell. A big clean on every other visit and a dust over in between, towels changed. Has everything you need. Room size for 2 people would be excellent. We are 2 adults and 2 under 10 and the room was a squeeze but it worked, just. Light on storage for 4 people. Kitchen small but equipped & functional. Aircon & WiFi included. Location is great, beach just across the road. Water sports just down the road. Spa next door. 15 minutes to the far end of the strip, loads of restaurant options but personally I preferred the old square and the area beyond the roundabout - was worth the extra 5 minute walk. Apart from the day to day, would recommend: Ferry trips from port. Lemon bar for live music. Old town is beautiful, 10 minutes cab ride €15 each way.
