From booking to arriving Iain and Wayne kept in contact. On arriving we were not disappointed. Fir Tree Barn is in a quiet village location but very near to amenities. The room was delightful, decor, furniture, bathroom, bed and bedding all brilliant…. sad to leave. There is an exceptionally well thought out and well stocked self service breakfast room, where guests can use fridge, freezer for personal items. A separate laundry room with ironing facilities. Best Guest House we have stayed in. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you. Adrienne and Jim

We booked a place in Selby and were so disappointed in the town and the hotel that we decided after checking in to leave. We discovered this place was nearby and it had space so we took a chance and booked. We were so happy we did. The place is clean, quiet and set in a sweet space with attention to detail. The breakfast was self serve and extremely well stocked. We highly recommend!

Fantastic place to stay!
What a brilliant place to stay! Iain was a fantastic host, very helpful and friendly. The room was perfect-modern, spotlessly clean, comfortable and space for everything. The breakfast offer in the kitchen was brilliant! Such a great choice. And all at a grest price, I'd highly recommended this place and will definitely stay again if I'm in the area. Thank you!

Great modern room with breakfast
We had a spacious very clean modern room within a barn conversion where the breakfast was self service. There was a large selection of cereals, fruit, pastries and juices on offer

Superb
Highly recommended. Everything was spotless. The bed very comfortable and the shower very efficient. The breakfast offer was superb. I would definitely stay here again. And the price was outstanding.

Welcoming and informative on arrival, Very clean airy room, with all amenities. Really well equipped self serve breakfast/dining area. Very impressed and look forward to booking again when in area.

This barn conversion was spotlessly clean. The bedroom was a good size and comfortable. Breakfast was included and there was a good choice of food and drink.

Well from the moment we got there we was very happy. We got welcomed and showed to our room. The room was beautifully decorated , clean and tidy. There was a very large shower room and big balcony with everything needed. Our view was of a very big field. We received a basket with towels , hair dryer , toilet roll and some papers with information of take aways , local pub where the coop was , phone number directions everything. There was a kettle , glasses , cups , bottles water , tea coffee biscuits everything.
The breakfast was delicious, the service was amazing. We will definitely be back. So calm and reaxing

Just back after a trip down to see mum, tried a few places in past but this tops them all, they even laid on good weather. Couldn't fault room or host who gave comprehensive explanation of everything. Breakfast is brilliant with plenty of choice and just like being home. Monday night we had fish and chips on the rooms patio in brilliant . Have booked for next trip down.
