Macdonald Inchyra Hotel and Spa

The staff are excellent, very friendly and ensure your stay is enjoyable. The rooms in the hotel need updating; I would not choose to stay at the hotel again due to the rooms being quite basic for a 4*, and no safe in the room either. The restaurant area is nice. The bar area could do with an open fire, which would be in keeping with the property and, due to the bar's location can be quite cool. I found the lockers difficult to use; there are no instructions when trying to use them, only in the reception area. I did ask someone to show me, but they were too busy apparently, so I asked another customer to help me. There was no concession for late checkout on New Year's Day; however, upon request, this was granted. You also have to book for breakfast; therefore, on New Year's Day, I had to get up for 9 am to go down to breakfast, which was not ideal. I had paid for the trip online when I booked; however, when I came to checkout, I was charged the full amount again and was informed that there was no log that I had already paid, but when we arrived and checked in, it was acknowledged that I had paid, it was a good job that I had the email displaying that I had paid. Upon further investigation by the hotel, it was noted that I had paid. I thought that I had read somewhere that there was an option for a set menu for NYE, but al a carte was still an option however this was not the case. The food was ok. The stay was made better due to the friendliness of the bar and restaurant staff, all credit to them.

When we arrived at the hotel the approach looked lovely and the staff at reception were very friendly. However, when we entered our room we questioned whether we wanted to stay. This was down to the dated interior that looked like it hadn’t been updated since opening and the website pictures being deceiving. The king size bed was two singles pushed together and the shower head was disappointing compared to pictures shown on their website. The carpet was also tired and worn out.

My “Battered Fish” main course at the Inchyra Grange Hotel Grangemouth tonight. The chips were nearly bigger than the fish!! Smallest main course I think I’ve ordered ever.. & I’ve travelled and dined many many times. Think the Inchyra Hotel seriously needs to up their game...

My partner and I have just returned from a one night stay celebrating our anniversary and we had a lovely, relaxing time. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming - especially Megan on reception who was quick to fix a wee issue we had with our TV remote and again was quick to send up condiments to our room when we noticed they had been forgotten with our breakfast, which we had in bed as a treat. Speaking of which, the breakfast was amazing! Bacon and sausages were if good quality and everything cooked beautifully. The room itself was huge, clean and comfortable. Our only wee gripe was that the extra large bed was two singles pushed together creating that sunken gap in the middle which is annoying, and the bathroom is a little dated, but overall the room had everything we needed and was a nice space for us. We also enjoyed some time in the spa which was relaxing and just what we both needed. The pool was large and well maintained with a nice atmosphere and comfy loungers dotted about. We also made use of the sauna and steam room which were great, too. We'd absolutely return.

My friend bought be an overnight stay for my 30th birthday, the spa was fab and loved our dinner in the restaurant but unfortunately this was ruined by the guests who were next door. There was an incident where a couple were arguing and trashing the room to the point the police had to be called. I called reception 3 times while this was happening and was told there is no security in the hotel and the young lad on reception wasn’t sure if he should phone the police or not. I asked him to call the police as it had been going on for hours. We were scared the couple could hear us so we were whispering down the phone to reception. This is not how you should feel in a relaxing spa night with your friend we were terrified and shaken up. I totally understand this isn’t the hotels fault as they can’t control the guests but this ruined our stay and I just assumed they would take some accountability for this ruining our relaxing spa night. We received a email back saying they can’t control the guests and there is nothing they can do. I think there should be security in this hotel for the guests safety, I go to Macdonald hotels a lot and my family owns timeshares with them and I am so disappointed at the service and rude email we received back taking no accountability.

Stayed last night with my granddaughter. We had best time.our tom was very comfortableand clean. Paige went above and beyond. She's amazing. Breakfast bit disappointing. We made most of pool lovely and clean. And afternoon tea very tasty. We will b back

Belated birthday celebrations. All staff friendly and helpful,always smiling. Rooms pleasant if a little dated. Lovely meal although price of drinks a bit on the high side. The pool was lovely, the grandchildren loved it. Didn't try any spa experiences, maybe next time. Feel there should be a dress code I in bar and restaurant, too many people walking about in robes

The hotel is nice and in a nice location, we were attending a wedding and we had a fab time, staff were really pleasant and informative . The only downside was that the room decor and maintenance didn’t match the atmosphere and high quality customer experience that staff provided. Through the corridors you could see how well used the carpet was, apart from being very dated it was thinning in areas. Similar feedback for the room, then fixtures and fittings have been used to a point where they really need scrapped, the beds were very hard and outdated, the bathroom was also as such with things like the panelling on the bath looking scuffed from continued use. I feel some investment is required to bring up to date, this would allow a more cohesive experience. To finish on a positive, we had breakfast there which was lovely, nice spread for the continental and really fresh for the cooked, again staff were fantastic.
