Wave Resort - Ultra All Inclusive

We would highly recommend the Wave Resort, I travelled with my 2 teenagers and booked a lagoon room which had shared access to a private pool, I read reviews beforehand and had asked ahead to book on the sunnyside of the hotel which was perfect, the sun was on pool from 10.30am - 7.30pm The hotel was spotless, one if the cleanest hotels I've stayed in, cleaning staff were friendly, I'd requested no room clean, but clean towels, bins and a mini bar top up daily. The cleaner remembered what drinks the children wanted and was just so kind, even with the language barrier she was patient and kind. The room was spacious, had a large open bathroom and dressing area, more than enough room to hang / fold clothes away. Separate shower and toilet behind glass doors. Beds were comfy, sofa bed was comfy for a teenager. 2 sun loungers on the private terrace, although pool is shared it's very cleverly done so your terrace is private to a degree, a large clothes airer too so could dry swim costumes and towels. The room was quiet, couldn't hear next door and couldn't hear the main road either which I was suprised at seeing that it was so close. The pools were cold,but it was needed as weather was so hot, once you're in you don't notice, it's refreshing. There was food and drink 24hrs a day. Once the buffet restaurant closed, the bistro area opened serving sandwiches, pastries, hot and cold drinks buffet style. The variety of food on offer was huge, even both my fussy eaters found food to eat. There's a mini children's buffet too which was kept clean and tidy. The only complaint is food labelling, often what was labelled was something different and food wasn't always hot. We had a couple of very cold pieces of chicken that had just come from the fryer, so just need to watch out. Staff are super friendly, if you need gluten free food just ask the head chef, he was willing to show everything that was available and also would cook gluten free pasta and pizza out the back in the kitchen, they were aware of cross contamination. Breakfast you could ask for gluten free pancakes, toast. GFree cornflakes available in the buffet and lunch and dinner times GFree bread was available near the salads. If you don't ask, you won't be aware of the gluten free food. Takeaway boxes available if you wanted to eat in the room, and paper cups. This was a life safer for me on numerous occasions. Hotel grounds are large, lots of pools, lots of sunbeds, no reserving sunbeds which helps. Splash area for little ones and slides for older children. We didn't go to the evening entertainment, there were kids clubs and pool tables etc that older children could use, pool bars dotted around too. Pool towels available from the spa daily, a little shop for snacks and souvenirs, indoor play area for little ones too. This hotel literally has everything you can think of. The hotel is on a main road, is also on the beach front which is public, a member of staff is on the gate, so no one can acce

Arrived and check in was speedy. Room 4114 and 4120 were both fab spacious. Fridge was filled with coca cola and we only got 2 a day so spoke with reception and asked for coke zero and to get 3 a day as there was 3 of us. Also had a problem with safe which was dealt with swiftly. Visited the bulgarian and asian both good and great service(preferred bulgarian). 45 lev each for asian. Food in main restaurant was good we were there 11 nights and always found something. Pizzas were yummy. We found food a bit lukewarm and it did get busy. No drinks service its just help yourself Bars were all good, really liked the prosecco and mojitos. Hubby loved the heineken. Beach bar was sooo smokey would be great if the opened the sliding doors to let some fresh air as non smokers we found it too smokey.Lobby bar was good but only open till 11pm could do with a 24 hour bar( not just drinks in bistro cafe) We found the staff pretty friendly. Lifeguards need to lifeguard they just sit on their phones most of time especially at heated outdoor kids pool and indoor pool Music at outdoor pool was far too loud. Son liked the outdoor snack bars burgers pizza fruit etc again we found it all lukewarm. Loved the watermelon and strawberries What let this hotel down was the evening entertainment and cold drinks. The entertainment was pretty basic. Were used to 5 star turkey where you see some fab productions, the white party what a disappointment we were expecting a live band and could do with some live singers at beach bar at night. Also no day entertinament aimed at 8 to 12 year old too big for kids clubs but not allowed to join in with darts etc. Really need to up there game. Soft drinks at pool bars were awful so syrupy and did not taste like coke or sprite also would have loved the water bottles to be kept cold. Might be worth considering some fridges with cans and water bottles. Pool tables and arcade games are 5 lev a time which is pretty steep. Son loved the nightly pool orbs at 10 lev for 7 mins thought that was decent. We took the hotel bus to pomorie not worth going to. Nessebar in a taxi was 40 lev each way a nice trip out. Overall hotel is nice its clean and grounds are nice with good rooms. Food decent as are cocktails but there is room for improvement. We would go back and we would recommend hotel

This is a beautiful hotel. The place is immaculate and very well kept. All of the staff I encountered were lovely. The food options were brilliant, the best snack bar I have seen at an all inclusive, and the buffet provided a wide variety of lovely foods including meats, fish, pastas, salads to name a few. The 24 hour snack bar was also good to have for later on if you become peckish or thirsty. Yes the place is isolated but you are well aware of that when you book. We visited Sunny beach and Nesebar, the hotel has its own taxis and the drivers were great coming back to collect us when we called them. The pool space is more than enough, you can lie in the quiet or get involved with the activities if you wish. We moved between adults and other pools, there are always plenty of beds and the hotel provide towels. The animation team were amazing, remembered our names from day one, we played the games around the pool and my partner joined the water polo good fun and good to see people from different countries coming together to have fun. Some of the shows were just okay, me and my daughter really enjoyed the magician and the animation teams Bollywood show. Live music at the beach bar was fun later on and it was great to see people enjoying the foam party! Our room was lovely, cleaners were brilliant we did not have one issue. Fountain show at night is a must see. We visited the natural salt lake and mud bath near the hotel and I would recommend this so much fun! It was my birthday when I was away and came back to some very nice towel swans on the bed, a birthday card and a bottle of bubbly, much appreciated. I could probably go on and on about the hotel. I wasn’t sure what to expect from Bulgaria but it was absolutely beautiful and I would certainly come back to Wave resort never having visited the same resort twice before.

An excellent hotel at European standards. Clean, well-maintained, friendly service, and unobtrusive staff in the bars and restaurant. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, but that may be an advantage for some. Rooms 5.0 Service 5.0 Location 4.0 Key hotel advantages: Luxurious · Child-friendly Rooms: Spacious, with a minibar included. Comfortable mattresses. Very thoroughly cleaned. Nearby attractions: Children's attractions within the hotel grounds. For more adventures, you'll have to visit nearby towns. Safety: Safe, I didn't notice any issues with safety. No tipsy or disruptive guests. Food and beverages: Very good food. Huge selection, both in the main restaurant and other restaurants. Food and beverages are available 24/7. Drinks are served from authentic spirits. Important information: I don't recommend rooms located near the elevators. Street noise can be bothersome. The further towards the sea, the better. The beach, with its dark sand, isn't conducive to lounging or playing. Water shoes are not necessary.

Thank you to Kiko and his whole fantastic team. They work tirelessly to bring a positive atmosphere to the hotel complex. I took part in the aqua fit classes each day and my son went to the kids club. The team were friendly, Kind and thoughtful. As a single parent with my son they really made us feel very welcome during our two week stay. The shows orchestrated by the staff themselves were a real highlight and my son loved the nightly mini disco.

Location: not the best if you like to get around. Nothing close to you. If you would like to go into town there is a free bus, but don't bother there is nothing there and it's a dive. Rooms: Had a swim up room this was cleaned on arrival and comfortable. Has tv and kettle and espresso machine. Fridge in there that is filled day with a few soft drinks and beer. Cleaners: not the best that we have experienced, did the bare minimum, some days they left rubbish on the side and one day did not change the bedding. Restaurant: wide range of foods, however never hot always luke warm at best had to warm meal in microwave. Staff rude unhelpful. Reception: staff unhelpful. Asked on day we arrived for late check out room, staff said come on the day before you fly home. We did this and no availability. Flight is at 11pm and you have to be out of room for 11am. So you will need to sit about until pick up. If booking this hotel ensure you have an early flight. Outside areas: clean and tidy, pool areas big and plenty of sunbeds. Food cout was ok but again food was warm unless you got there when they opened shutters Trips: don't bother don't waste your money..... Experience: was ok not the best place i have been.. Will we be back NO ....
