It was my first time holiday in Spain with my two sons (ages 10 yr old and 8 yr old) and we are first-timers. And we fall in love with Spain already, especially here in Playadulce Hotel Almeria. My children and I stayed here for 6 nights and 7 days. Two of the best features I would like to share is that all the staff from reception down to the restaurant is very welcoming, accommodating, kind, friendly. Overall, they are amazing staffs especially Daniel, from the reception. The customer service I received from him was beyond my imagination. He went on to give the customer an extra mile. After three nights of our stay, we had a water problem on our floor. First, he asked me if I wanted to move to a different floor, and offered me, but I declined as my 8-year-old son was excited to go swimming on the pool. And then, I realised we don't have water in our room to take a shower. So, I went to the reception again, and I asked Daniel if the offer was still on. And to my surprised, he upgraded us into a family theme room, more better view and much more spacious that I ended up sleeping in such a massive bed on my own with my cosy blanket and pillow while my two sons, they were sleeping on their own bed in which a bus bunkbed and they both loved it. The hotel is fabulously clean. Cleaner had done so well in cleaning our room every other day instead of every day (my choice). The location is perfect for us as the beach is only 2 mins walk and restaurants and cafe on the side road. The food was incredibly tasty and delicious, especially the pork ribs cooked in a tomato sauce. My two sons loved their pancakes every day with choros and fresh omellet with ham and cheese every breakfast. They also enjoyed their margarita pizza as always. There was also a cooking show in the hotel where you can choose either meat or fish and seafood and ask the chef to cook it for you. Overall, my children and I are one happy and satisfied customers. And they wanted to go back here for our next holiday, God willing on August or October. I highly recommend Playadulce Hotel Almeria for a family holiday.

Our 1st day here & so far we are enjoying it so much. I mentioned at reception that we were here to celebrate my husband’s birthday & few hours later a bottle of bubbly was delivered to our room. So unexpected but yet so thoughtful. My husband loved it! I didn’t get the receptionist name but he was German and an absolute gem! He upgraded us to a sea view room which is extremely beautiful. Food is not bad, granted we are used to bigger varieties but can’t complain. We are not big eaters. Oh I had the indoor pool all to myself today, which is very rare!

friendly and hard working staff, very clean in every part - even toilets by pool which can be grubby very quickly! Breakfast excellent especially the made to order omelettes and pancakes. Bar staff very friendly and helpful. Live music night was great - Spanish guests very fun and friendly. We had superior room overlooking beach which was perfect. Cleaners in room every day. Entertainment staff also very welcoming and fun. Would recommend.

We stayed in the Western-style room with bunk beds, which the kids absolutely loved! It was a fun feature for them. However, the room itself had a few issues that made the stay uncomfortable. The fan control was broken, so we couldn’t adjust the speed, and the air conditioning was very dated and barely worked. It was so ineffective that some guests resorted to leaving their room and balcony doors open just to get proper airflow and ventilation. Not to mention no kettles in the rooms you make a tea! Another issue we noticed was with the water. Both the taps and showers would initially run discoloured water - it took a minute or so before it cleared enough to use. We didn’t report this to the hotel, as we we saw plumbing in and out of different rooms with it making no difference and assumed it was just due to the building being older, but it was still a bit off-putting. Before booking, I contacted the hotel through WhatsApp to check if the outdoor pool would be open. They advised it wouldn’t be, which was fine, but unfortunately, the indoor pool wasn’t much better. It was extremely warm and had poor ventilation, making it uncomfortable to use for extended periods. The overall feel of the hotel was quite dated and in need of some refurbishment. On the positive side, the staff were lovely - very friendly and hardworking. Breakfast was one of the highlights, especially thanks to the chef who made omelettes and pancakes fresh each morning. He was great with the kids and always had a smile. Dinner, on the other hand, was repetitive with limited variety night after night. They even served us RAW chicken the first night! Service was often slow, which seemed to be due to the hotel being understaffed, especially during peak times. Lastly this is a non smoking hotel but despite this, guests were freely smoking around the grounds!

Booked a family holiday 11 people in total over 2 bookings. 6 adults, 5 children. Arrived on the 4th April, to be told no pool or outside facilities available due to season. Was told by rude reception staff not their problem and to contact loveholidays, But they were very happy to take nearly £400 for room upgrades. Loveholidays were also very dismissive of situation, but advised they had not been told of closures, and it wasn't their problem either. And they don't no why the hotel had told us to get in touch with them, but they would open a ticket anyway. Many other issues requested kettle to make bottles to be told not available until 6th April, went on the 6th to be told come back on the 8th, absolutely ridiculous, was expected to go down in the middle of night to use microwave in reception and leave another 2 young children in room alone. No outside seating so you could watch children play or use mini golf, play area etc. No where outside to get drinks or snacks which were meant to in all inclusive. Had to use bar and snacks from restaurant but wasn't allowed to take them outside, restaurant staff very rude when tried to. Temperature above 22 degrees each day, was told to use beach across road and if we wanted to take drinks from bar, down 4 flights of stairs through gate and across road we could absolute joke. Mould in fridge, bugs in bed, Extra money spent on drinks and snacks as all inclusive couldn't be used. Indoor pool overcrowded even though maximum of 20 people at any one time, no supervision from staff, unsafe and dangerous. Maintenance work going on, very loud drilling for a while, was not told. Food poor, limited choice, cold and repetitive, no theme nights, meat not cooked properly (raw),no jarred baby food as stated Hiding behind the word "seasonal", was told it was my fault and I should of check myself. Loss of wifi - was told will come back on when can Spoke to other quests who also unhappy, some guests had been contacted a few days later by loveholidays to be made aware of situation and been given a large/discount. Love holidays and Hotel chain extremely dismissive (rude) Worked and saved hard for a nice holiday Very disappointing and 5 very sad and disappointed children Not a 4 star hotel
