1905 Zino's Palace

1905 Zino's Palace was amazing. Bed was comfy, view was spectacular, breakfast was great, with eggs to order. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating with suggestions and help. Don't fear about the drive up. It's scarier than it looks and parking was very easy.

Zion’s Palace is charming and comfortable. The rooms were lovely. We went all over the island throughout the day, but were very happy to return to our hotel at night. The staff was welcoming and helpful. They responded quickly to all communication. The breakfast was delightful. They had a great spread of breads, meats, cheese, fruit and jams/honeycomb and the chef made eggs for us. We stayed three nights and had early plans for two of the days, so they had some breakfast sent to our rooms the night before for us. I thought that was a kind gesture. We also ate dinner in the restaurant one night and it was very good. The patio has a wonderful view for sunset. They have extra parking that was easy to park in. Overall, we loved our experience.

We loved 1905 Zino's. It is the perfect place to base from for hiking and the employees were incredibly helpful making suggestions for places to visit. We also stayed in Funchal and enjoyed the more casual vibe of Zino's despite the fact that it is a very nice place to stay. Sitting outside having breakfast every day is a great memory of our time in Madeira... and we also loved the afternoon tea. Thank you 1905 Zino's for making our vacation memorable!

We just recently stayed at Zino's (5 nights) - a perfect location for our Madeira vacation. The staff is welcoming, helpful and goes above to take care of you. Breakfast is delicious - we only had dinner there one night and it was very good too. The patio area is a spacious, comfortable both for morning coffee and evening wine with spectacular views. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. I would stay there again in a minute. Yes, as others have commented the road up to Zino's is steep. the first time up the hill can be a bit daunting but after that its really not that bad.

Spent five days here as a couple.. just loved everything about it! Wonderful views, quiet, really clean & the most comfortable bed with top linen. Breakfast was spent on the patio and was just delicious. Such a great way to unwind and take in beautiful Madeira.. We ate in the restaurant two evenings & food was delicious. Drinks are so reasonably priced. But what made the stay so great was the wonderful staff, helpful & attentive :) Thank you… Be prepared for the hills, we enjoyed the walk down to the few local restaurants but it is a climb. Would definitely recommend & hope to return x

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel and should have stayed more - we were simply amazed. It is a super cute boutique hotel with an amazing view, very nice staff and delicious food. We felt very comfortable and would say it's the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed holiday. As the hotel has only 10 rooms, a very private atmosphere is created among the guests and staff. It is a must to have a car though, but parking is available at and close by the hotel.
