Hotel Virgen del Camino Pontevedra

This hotel is not to a satisfactory standard to be operating. The rooms smell of sewage, the shower was mouldy, the walls are paper thin to the point you can hear other residents using the toilet, the noise of a guest in the floor above filling the bath was so loud it woke me up, the noise also from the hotel bar and the street was very loud and continued until about 3am making it impossible to sleep, the shutters did not close and there were no curtains so light streamed in from the street all night, there were flies in the juice at breakfast as well as on the fruit, there was no cold milk for cereal and the coffee was poor.

Pros: The room size was good and had enough outlets. The amenities were as expected based on our other hotel stays in Spain (shampoo, body wash, but no conditioner or lotion - no big deal). Front desk service was GREAT!! They were full, but the single person on duty at the front desk gave us her full attention and was really helpful. Location is good - right on the Camino. Cons: It's a bit dated, but still clean. The biggest con for us was the breakfast buffet. The choices were just OK (again no big deal), but I really could have used a decent cup of coffee :/

This is a bare bones hotel and unfortunately it was not clean - there was mold in my shower. Two of my friends who had paid for their rooms, rented an Airbnb for the night. We also did not eat the breakfast which was scare and not what we had expected. My sense is that the owners do not care about the hotel and it’s future. The reason I rated it three stars was because of the location, and more so because of one staff member in particular, Juan, who was so sweet and kind. When my friends left the hotel to stay somewhere else he did everything possible to help them including carrying their luggage. The next day he brought them a box of chocolates because of their experience. Juan is an exceptional representative for Virgin del Camino Hotel.

Mooie kamer met alles voorhanden wat er moet zijn. Wij waren er in groepsverband en het avondeten was redelijk sober, maar het ontbijt nog soberder. Nochtans bieden ze een driegangsformule aan met redelijk wel keuze. Wel goed gelegen in het mooie centrum van Pontevedra. En op de pelgrimsroute!

Este hotel fica muito próximo do centro de Pontevedra. O WiFi era gratuito e funcionou sem problemas. A funcionária da receção era eficiente, simpática e atenciosa. O nosso secador não funcionava e pedimos um na receção. Quando voltámos do jantar a funcionária tinha um para nós. Dormi muito bem. O mais fraco do hotel é a antiguidade do mesmo. Ganharia em fazer alguma remodelação/atualização, de resto nada a apontar.

é lamentável. depois de um dia em Vigo fomos dormir para este hotel. uma escolha que achámos que seria confortável dado que tínhamos andado o dia todo e queríamos dormir bem para podermos ir para Portugal no dia seguinte. nunca tinha visto nada assim na minha vida, mas quando estava a tentar adormecer a minha mãe acendeu a luz e disse que tinha matado um inseto que estava no olho dela. começámos a ver e havia vários insetos a andar na cama. com o calor humano os insetos começaram a aparecer na cama. fui à receção reclamar e disseram-me que era NORMAL ter insetos na cama. quando e em que parte do mundo é que isto é normal. tenho 25 anos mas imaginem se fosse uma criança ou um deficiente que não percebe o que se está a passar. é nojento e inaceitável que este hotel continue aberto tendo em conta que é no centro da cidade. Não se percebe a falta de preocupação. Depois de ter posto as minhas coisas na mala porque não ia ficar lá nem um segundo fomos verificar a cama e os colchões e o colchão tinha urina, agora se é de cão ou humana não sei. Sei que a polícia devia fechar este hotel porque não nos protege sanitariamente.
