The Pooley Bridge Inn

The whole place is spotless and great location, the price was fantastic for a family and the room had nearly eveything you could need ( no milk for a cuppa). Only snag was it was red hot and the staff didn't know how to turn off the bathroom heater which was in full whack and too hot to touch, the window in there is a low level skylight accessible from the bath by a child so not safe to remain open as advised by the lady on the phone, so myself and my children were up and unsettled all night so we left shattered and unrested, breakfast was also good.

Looking forward to next year's visit This was our 4th visit to Pooley Bridge. It has parking and free WiFi. The menu is varied and well priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are pretty, functional and the beds are comfortable. The towels are huge and fluffy.

Alasdair Alasdair the manager was very helpful in sorting our problems and I was highly impressed by the lengths he went to , to solve our problems. He and his staff were all pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel . Unfortunately we arrived too late to eat .

Friendly staff who work extremely hard. A very central location for walking the Ullswater way and accessible by public transport, only 20min bus from Penrith station.

Beautiful, near perfect, hotel. The hotel is lovely and the rooms are well appointed and beautifully clean. The tea tray was excellent. Food in the restaurant is amazing. The two reasons that it wasn't 5* is because the bathroom blind was missing and there was no cover in the bathroom. My teenage daughters found this uncomfortable. In the restaurant the gentleman who greeted us was rather intense. He was clinical in his approach. It felt uncomfortable. I will undoubtedly return.

One night stay Very accommodating. Really friendly staff. Food was lovely. Breakfast was fresh. The room was comfortable.
