The Fox and Hounds Historic Hotel recensioner

Accommodation in need of refurbishment, friendly staff accommodating to provide portable heater for bedroom that has no heating.

Room space and cleanliness is average. Water in hotel not drinkable, nor useable and it is yellowish. Though they provide bottle water, it's troublesome coz need to keep asking for water to drink, brush teeth and even rinse cup. No automatic room cleaning like changing of towels and refilling toiletries. Insects can be seen crawling in the bedroom. Disappointed w the overall experience staying at the hotel given its not so cheap price and photos on trip.com.

We really enjoyed our stay at Fox and Hounds Historic Hotel. Very clean, warm and comfortable room. Staff are very helpful and friendly and the food is amazing. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend.

A quaint hotel close to the historic Port Arthur site. We were given a cosy 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen, lounge and dining area so we cooked the food we already had. Great service from the reception staff. Can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat there. I would definitely stay there again. No hesitation in recommending this budget hotel for accommodation.

Nice room with water view ,old pub with good meals.

The room is very dusty, not clean. However, the sea view is stunning.

Nice clean and the staffs are nice

Quirky place. Our room was very nice but looks like it has recently been renovated with new furniture and tiling in the bathroom but just a few old surfaces still left that detracts from what could be a beautiful room. Only 1 bedside table is a strange thing to have in a queen room. The bed rolls away if you sit up against the bed head. But, I had a fantastic sleep with what feels like new bed, bedding and pillows. I felt it was strange that the bed did not have the top sheet, just a quilt. The food at the pub is typical pub food and very nice but in my opinion expensive. $30 for a chicken schnitzel, tiny salad that can really only be called garnish and a small amount of hot chips. But it was ver nice. Saying that, so far I am finding Tasmania is expensive which says a lot considering I live on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.

, very disappointing stay! If I could give less than 1 I would. No contact with owners! Walked up to doors to find a sign with a phone number to ring, was given a code to get into key box, owner was hard to understand on phone. Half the place was closed down! No reception, no restaurant, no bar & no bottle shop as was advertised! As it was our honeymoon they said they were going to upgrade to the honeymoon suite but she said there is a spa in there but it is broken, so no real upgrade as our original room was virtually the same! Bathroom was grose there was hair on floor and walls, mould around Bathroom. No treated water at all just couple of bottled water in fridge. TV didn't work! Place is very run down! Needs lots of attention. Not worth $100 per night! Wish I had of read reviews first but was in a rush.

設施：電暖氣不工作，空調可以調製熱。水質不行，前台會提供瓶裝水代替，不夠還能續。 衞生：房間很乾凈，但是水質不行，很黃。入住時前台明確告知這不是自來水，不可以入口。 環境：亞瑟港以前是個監獄，不得不佩服帶英的眼光，這地方可以説是土澳的寧古塔。現在更像是個旅遊景點，連小鎮都算不上。 服務：前台大概能營業到晚上八點吧。房間有點冷，前台借了小太陽給我，非常有用！

非常不錯。給了很多免費的水（因為這裏的水不能直飲）。餐廳的食物還不錯，要了一份咖喱牛肉飯，對象要了塔斯馬尼亞三文魚。
